I made a larger/wider mounting bracket out of a small piece of plywood which as you can see, allows me to put the screw clamps on top. This set up only requires clearance of 3/8”. I removed the 1” diameter center piece from the original bracket and installed it in the new plywood. If you would like PM me with an email and I will send some photos for detail

It has worked out great and I am very glad I modified it. After getting the spring lengths set so that it centers I have not made any other adjustments. And the springs have not came loose or stretched

Is that unloader any good? I want to put it in my trailer rather than in my truck

@@cartonverayes it works great. I've had it on my truck for several years and use it mainly to unload gravel. It's suppose to be good up to 2,000 lbs. I have had 1,500 on it and i could roll it out with one hand. here's a link ua-cam.com/users/shorts0XIznVnk7F4

I have used most of the popular gps units and my experience has been that once i get the initial gps lock, changing the battery doesn't cause me to 'start all over again'. The gps normally will lock after just a few seconds when installing them after the first gps lock. so I would only use the usb for the first battery. One other thing i found out through trial and error...most gps units have a small battery installed which is supposed to maintain the gps information between flights but some gps batteries do not. And i also currently am using a gps unit that has a great battery and i have no need for the usb at all, it can be weeks between flights and i get a lock in under 20 seconds.

@@53roger thanks for responding. I'm using a re-purposed gopro GPS so it doesn't have a battery. I get a lock within a few minutes. I just wanted a way to keep the lock while changing battery so I wouldn't have to wait.

@Dan. Yes the first buzzer tested came with the quad and was pitiful but the Matek made a huge difference for me. A newer self-powered buzzer called Vifly (i think) is getting good reviews but its a bit too large for my quads (Happy flying)

Mine is the same. However, since posting this video I made what I consider an even better mod which eliminated the white plug completely. I installed a main push button on/off switch mounted on the removable panel. And connected the fan power to that. Now when i power the goggles i have power to the fan but i can still turn it on/off with a slide switch. Thanks for the reply

not sure about your question. But if the signal drops out the monitor shows exactly what you goggles would do....first the image starts to get fuzzy and cut in and out. I have never flown out far enough for the signal to drop completely out....i turn around and fly towards home.

senseTUBE: You don't need stabilization, but its nice to have. You don't need FPV but its nice to have. You don't need F4 or F7 boards but its nice to have. . You don't need Telemetry but its nice to have. I don't recall saying GPS is NEEDED, but if you have it you may want to check the calibration.

Sorry for the late reply, I have been on vacation. Mine is connected to the flight controller on the buzzer pads which allows me to choose via betaflight when i want it to activate and I also trigger it via aux 4 (switch) from my radio. Hope this answers your question
