I notice that dairy barns have the slotted floors in their manure alleys but beef cattle barns don't. Is the beef cattle manure dry enough not to need the extra drainage?

What will u be doing for where the straw goes will it be concreted it will be easier wen it comes to mucking out flat surface and easy clean rather than digging up gravel and been un even on cows hooves and better health for them
Hiya, the planings will be under straw so no issue for feet and don't worry a good driver won't dig in when mucking out. Thanks.
looking well jack, well thought out, gonna be impressive when you have both sheds done and silage clamp done, are you going to do handling area, check out JM farming on you tube, they have a nice handling area at there research farm with pens outside but crush undercover, also tom pembertons new crush looks a great piece of kit
Hello, yes hopefully we will be putting a fixed handling system in under cover later this year. We have a mobile cattle race which we can use in the mean time though. I saw a picture of him with a new crush its only from up the road from us. Thanks.

Hello, the cows are in through winter and during calving. As soon as the calves are up and happy the cows and calves go into the field. Thanks.
