Introduction to Genetic basics.

The word genetics is taken from Greek Word genesis which means origin, genetics is branch of biology that is related with study of heredity and variations. Heredity is transfer of similarities from parents to offspring where are variations are distinct character found in offspring which aren't available in parents, In genetics Gene and allele is always discussed.
Genes are the segments of DNA that determine certain trait or character while allele is different version of same gene.
Alleles may be dominant or recessive, dominant alleles show their effects always where as recessive do not express their trait when dominant allele is present.
Alleles may he Of different kinds, i.e Homozygous allele having both same alleles such as TT and tt and another allele is heterozygous such as Tt.
