The brayer is the most underated tool out there. When I started with my first Cricket a couple years ago I remember thinking "I don't need a brayer". Then I got one. Then I got another one so I could have one in my craft room and living room - for when I work in front of the TV.
I bought my brayer shortly after buying my machine. If you use card stock, you absolutely need it. For vinyl, you also need it but I don’t do vinyl often. And rarely iron on.
I normally don't buy the name-brand tools. I have a lot of tools for other crafts so I tend to just borrow... and forget to return it to the other craft supplies. When I bought my Cricut, I went all in and got the tools and I have no regrets. Everything is in the same area and exactly where I need it. When I leave it out on the table, I know that it belongs in the Cricut tool bin and not in the metal embossing or the wire weaving or the knitting tool bin. It's hard for me to sit down and focus on crafting so having the tools all together is one less barrier to getting things done.
I use and love the Cricut brayer. I had a less expensive one and the handle broke. I must use a lot of pressure 😂. I find the Cricut version to be more heavy duty and is holding up better. Cricut website has them on sale now at a great price.
Most of the brayers on the shelves in the craft stores are much more expensive than the circuit one - go figure!?! I love mine and have some tips I was going to put into a video soon.
The brayer available in Canada is so overpriced. After paying a lot for one machine that never worked and more money for one that did work. Their vinyl prices are $14 which is high for what you get.
I have the Speedball brayer. I use it all the time and it works great
Yep! Definitely a use what you have situation!
You just have to have a brayer, I use it all the time. Thanks for sharing Angie.
You are so welcome!

I generally get the Cricut ones but in this case you can definitely choose from a variety of options.
I love my brayer! I have two! LOL
YAY!
I love my brayer for leather, helps it stick so much better.
Yes it does!
Yes love them, a plus for breyer over scraper is won't scratch.
Definitely! You can wrap your scraper in felt but I prefer the brayer hands down.

I know! If you already have one for another use, it works but otherwise the Cricut is cheaper!
Thank you for this information! What kind of blade is needed to cut fabric with a Cricut Joy Xtra?
You can cut fabric with the fine point blade that comes with it but it would need to be bonded fabric.
I have the cricut brayer but like the ones on temu better
I do have a brayer and I do find it helpful!

I love my Cricut brayer. I uses it all the time. Just used it this morning on a project I’m working on.
I also have 2, I didn't realize it could extend the life of your mat and blades. Thank you!
Glad I could help!
