This channel is SUCH a hidden gem. Thank you for all the experiences and advice shared… and congrats on getting the Delta job!!! Just started my instrument rating and trying to figure out this whole journey that lies ahead of me, or at least the next step or two. It’s scary and uncertain. But your advice and motivation brings some relief that it will all work out one way or another.
Congratulations, Dan! I want to thank you for sharing your journey. I enjoy watching your videos. They are all very well put together. They also help me greatly and inspire me as I navigate my own path. I am early in my professional flying career but #2 I can totally agree with. I have seen first hand that putting all of my eggs in a "future non-existent basket" rarely works out as planned. But rather than fight it, I think there is so much to be had taking whatever opportunities you have and using those to build onto what comes next.
Congratulations on Delta! I'm about to upgrade at my regional airline on the RJ. 13 years flying, zero failed check rides, and I still get the feeling of "imposter syndrome" from time to time. I've come to understand that in this business where we live and die by checkrides and our actions, a little bit of imposter syndrome is a good thing. Motivates you to study and be prepared. I worry more about the people who are over confident.
Hey, congratulations on coming to Delta. I hope to see you on the line. 17 years at SkyWest, 2 years at Spirit and now almost 2 years at Delta. It’s been a ride but every step has been amazing. When I talk to pilots that are just starting and are young 20 something’s, I’m so excited for them. We all have our own journey. I’m so excited for you.
You are a down to earth guy who based on your previous videos highly values your family time and quality of life. How would you say the hectic flying schedule has impacted your family? Would you genuinely recommend the career to a friend or family member?
I watched your "how to pack like a pilot" video two years ago even though I'm not a pilot. Great information and good advice. Two years later and I'm now working as a gate agent for a regional station and interacting with flight crews on a daily basis. I deeply respect the crew members and through your videos have learned a little about what they do to keep us safe. Thanks to you and my flight benefits I get to practice packing like a pilot in my one small carryon.
Congratulations on🔺!!! I think you’re spot on with explaining how opportunities work in aviation. It’s been awesome following you through your journey and even more cool knowing I had a very small part to play in it. So much has happened since Captains Career Course and doesn’t even seem that long ago. Can’t wait to run into you at a terminal someday!
Great video! Thanks for sharing

Glad I can help out in a little way. Keep grinding man. It’s a great place to be.
Been following you for a bit.
Very encouraging as a 1300hr-ish CFI.
Appreciate you posting. Congratulations!
Thanks for following along and congrats on 1300! Big time accomplishment. Keep it up!

Thanks for that! I would recommend this job to anyone as long as they put their family first.
Hard Work Wins!
You bet buddy!
Whelp, this is definitely my boat. I've got some big decisions coming down the pipe right now. Thank you for speaking frankly and truthfully.
Yeah man! Always!

Dude, you were the drive behind it man! Wouldn’t have gotten my private and wouldn’t have gone to SkyWest if you hadn’t pushed me along!
