These sounds were in the air in Europe when experimental artists (like the guys who eventually formed Kraftwerk) were just getting started investigating making music sounds using circuitry and wave generators and oscillators. Now we take "electronic music" for granted as if it were just another pop genre, but Stockhausens' work feels to me like the giants' shoulders that it all stands upon.

I've really grown to appreciate Stockhausen's music, recently. I didn't like this piece before but now I feel it

This music is so indescribably beautiful & forward thinking it will take another century to catch up, an early must have & listen. Stockhausen is a sonic God !

The works of a composers lives from the gaze that is given to it. It is not limited to what it is, nor
to the one who produced it, it is also made by the one who hears it. Music, painting are a space of questioning and meditation where the senses that we attribute to it can come and be done and be undone at any time✨

...I've still got this on vinyl - one of Stockhausen's most exquisite works, for my ears...

Where tearing the speaker cone by a sudden hit after a prolonged period of silence where the listener cranks up the volume to the maximum, becomes an art medium of conceptual art.

It was the flip side of Telemuzik, kind of like Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields. :-)

You can see how Stockhausen's students formed the great Krautrock band Can....

Sings out from the knife-edge between instrumental and electronic sounds… The Stock back when he was really great. ( Nothing like it till Evan Parker’s Electro-acoustic Orchestra.)

Эту музыку я слышала в детстве, когда на радиоприемнике переключала города и искала волну своего города. И это было так загадочно, слышать эти волны в атмосфере. Музыка была такой вольной, перелетая от одной точки к другой. А теперь это поэмы.

I can see the shadowy figures jittering about the dimly lit, cavernous sounding space with the random flashes of light which illuminate their empty dark slits for eyes and the occasional glimmer of a shiny pointed metallic object. Muldaaar!
