I live in Brisbane. The real problem is how the Queensland police bungled this investigation. They had 30 detectives working on this case only for the culprit to drive down to Sydney (in another state) and fly out of Australia unhindered. The media are equally culpable in that they refused to release that this man was a Chinese national here on a temporary visa. A former Australian Federal Police detective stated that the Queensland Police chose political correctness over apprehending the suspect. Had they circulated the photo at 3 airports along with "suspected Chinese national" they could have stood a good chance of stopping him. Indians have also managed to escape Australia in this way.
I grew up in the Police State of Joh Bjelke's Queensland - they were too busy collecting brown bags of corrupt money and bashing aboriginals to actually chase criminals.
You have to applaud the incompetence of the Queensland Police by letting the man leave the country, then refused to release the name until the Chinese government released themselves recently.
what are the odds tha QLD authorities/media got a phone call/email from the Dept.of Foreign Affairs (DFAT) saying, " let this guy go. We have a $4B import/export deal with the Chinese Govt. & don't want to rock any boats... ".
@@wilson2455you are probably correct, likely 💯 percent correct. I live close to Hanlon Park in Brisbane, I am really pissed off about this, that evil dude could have been apprehended, it's vile and disgusting.

Not to mention the new iPhone 16's are still using USB-C 2.0 transfer speed stuck in the year 2000 , is like riding a tricycle on the freeway while other smartphones zoom by in sports cars with USB 3.0 or 3.1. If you're transferring data, you might want to start a hobby-maybe knitting-because those newer models will have your files moved before you can say "grandpa tech"!
I don’t give a stuff y he did it. Why we china protects him and how he got away when police such a huge budget and invasive powers. How did he leave the country?
This atrocious attack occurred in my hometown of Brisbane in a neighbouring suburb. His nationality has never been disclosed here, which is concerning. Thanks for discussing this issue Winston.
There are attacks almost everyday across Europe, Australia and other places, by people from the religion that cant be named. Its usually easy to figure out who the culprits are, when the media doesnt report their identity.
That is reprehensible. If the ethnicities were reversed, it would be the FIRST thing the police would mention and it would be called a h--te crîme. Western governments are cowards.
Say that to the labor government who are inviting 3000 gazans without even a thorough vetting process. Btw this number is more than the rest of the world combined. The neighbouring Arab countries want nothing to do with Palestinians and the issues they bring, but for some reason Australia, a country on the other side of the globe thinks it’s somehow a good idea
He’s not “Asian” he’s freaking Chinese, get it straight. There are many different “Asian” people, and we almost always hate each other. China is the worst.
I'm 9th generation Australian. My family has been here since the 1830's and all this nanny state bullcrap is making me want to pack up and move to a country that actually gives a crap about it's people because we literally have zero rights in Australia anymore. Our govt makes the rules and we have no say whatsoever. Crazy taxes, cost of living crisis, job market crisis, housing crisis, attack on smokers and vapers for seemingly no reason. Seems like they keep making laws making the rich richer and the poor sink ever and ever deeper into abject poverty and it's just getting harder and harder to justify living here...
What kind of absolute braindead people think stabbing random children is an act of "revenge"? Revenge against who? The people that assume you carry a single shred of humanity? Disgusting.
They are full of hate and just want to destroy someone life. They fell relief and joy after that until their hate reach max again so they can't control and do it again, unburden within hate
It is a ideology of despair. Self Deletion is a MUCH better way to go. People think it is about the feel-feels (feelings) but the truth is that the purpose for life of a 'Chinese Communist Ruled person' is often meaningless F🤬 Hopeless . Western societies could start threatening China if they keep exporting unhinged peoples (that would get China to keep them in line). Why do we ever trade favorably with them? SHAME on our politicians.
When I first heard this, I thought coffee is not that hot BUT he had it in a thermos. He had it extra hot to cause maximum damage and show premeditation of harm. Harm to a baby is despicable
Ummm.... Boiling water into thermos; 4-5 spoons of instant coffee. Hold the sugar. Close thermos. Temperature approx 95 degrees celsius - 200 degrees F....... That is boiling hot Einstein !
I am not surprised. The Australian government lets Hezbollah/Hamas supporters take over public squares and allow them to intimidate anyone from speaking out on it.
The Chinese who stabbed three children in Zurich has studied since at least a year. This means that he was insured for healtcare and could have asked for professional help. We had a Chinese family in our house here in Switzerland. Without going into details we made very bad experiences, especially with the father. Fortunately they were stupid enough to buy a too small apartment, and eventually they realised this and left. Sometimes stupidity may serve to others as an advantage.
Same with "my" people. The elders are so ignorant about almost everything and have the most to say and because they were rised to respect and follow them, they do it like good sheeps.
While it's quite simple, there will always be cases like this. The entire world has been turbo-capitalistic since WWII, and many people will never experience a decent quality of life. This has created an insane amount of mentally broken individuals. Out of misery and the lack of a monolithic society, we’ve all seen or heard about terrorism, violence, and rampages in our states. China is just ahead of everyone, forcing people to depend on their children. I’ve lived half my life in Switzerland and the rest in Norway, which are among the richest countries in the world. Still, I would never believe that I’ll see a single franc from my first or second pillar. If you listen to the youth, none of them believe they will retire before turning 70 or older and receive a pension. Very few, if any, cognitively capable people nowadays are willing to bring a child into the same misery that we ourselves are experiencing.
What I do not understand is how was the guy in Australia able to safely get away all the way back to China? Even if he pre booked his flight, it takes HOURS to get to your flight.
easy because VIC police in Melbourne are slow uncaring and only care about a job promotion ... remember that car incident where that driver ran over 30 or so people in the Melbourne main st and killed many tourists and the police took half a day to do anything about it when everyone gave warnings? same here. They would of taken there time taking 2 days to get video footage from shops and cameras in the park or accross the street .... he would of just gone to the airport and left the next day and be on the plane before then..... funny thing is if this happened in a government building they would have the video footage in 1 hour easily . there lazy when its not one of there own
I 100% support countries being able to screen and decide who gets to enter their country. And restricting immigration to the number that a thorough pre-screening, and refusal or deportation can be done.
Or broken citizens. I've met Mainland Chinese who are passive to the point of nearly being invisible. Their entire identity laundered by the state. Just obey, do what you're told.
When the communist party reached power, the first thing they killed were ethic and morals, by inciting people to turn against each other and pretty much throw charity and hope out of the window, they only do charity when it is to look good in front of others, they will NEVER help people without any kind of spotlight... that's why you get an absurd amount of crooked people there, not there isn't any in the other countries but in communist countries that's pretty much a norm.
In the Philippines we call that phenomenon "hanap damay" which means, literally, looking for people to vent all your/his pent-up anger or hatred and making them feel/experience your/his misery by hurting or worst, by taking their lives, sometimes along with the life of the amuck himself.
Pretty sure this is what americans call "going postal", due to mass shootings in the 90s performed by disgruntled postal workers. Or, you know, a regular day in modern US school.
But as we could see, the Iphone is now in different colors available and you dont need to touch the screen anymore. They invent a button ! What great achievement

You and I both buddy. The feeling of helplessness when you hear about this type of event is overwhelming. If I was there he couldn’t have gotten close enough to my Granddaughter and if he did he’d never make it out of that park. I swear that in all my days here on earth I’ve never seen this or anything like this in my life and I’m 71 years old. But here in America it’s quite different than many other Countries because we can own weapons. I can wear a number of small but powerful little sliders that allow a certain modicum of safety. If this sort of thing continues or if any Country sends anyone here to purposely injure or worse to a child or adult, I don’t care, I will sacrifice everything to protect my fellow citizens from undo harm. Especially young children. I know the answer to this but what kind of sick SOB would intentionally assault a little toddler? I will go Old Testament on them and do anything to protect a child. But I’m one of those people trained as an Incident Commander with emergency services who are specially trained on how to survey any location you’re at and what to look for. I was fortunate to attend a seminar from the FBI on protecting the largest infrastructure organization in Los Angeles County. Spatial awareness is what we all need refresher training on. There is a science to this and the more we learn what to look out for the safer our children will be. This is a shame brought about by people living in a dreadful dystopian nightmare of a society that encourages this kind of behavior. These boys if their not careful will find them selves in the clutches of the Chinese Communist Party. Then they will end up as part of a seasoning or worse, main menu.

Important to mention that the Australian media and police refused to call the man Asian or Chinese because of political correctness and they only described him as a man with tanned skin. Rumour has it that they let him escape back to China on purpose. They could have easily detained him at the airport but they didn't. The whole case is very sketchy. Australian government doesn't care about Australians. Not even babies. Chinese, Arabs, Indians and Africans are a protected class meanwhile Australians are treated as second class citizens. Absolutely disgusting what's happening in this country.
You do know the history of Australia, right that it was started by England, dumping its convicts on indigenous land and basically people of European descent taking over tribal aboriginal land so you’re basically complaining that the country you live in doesn’t protected citizens because the country was already developed in a bad system. Is that what you’re saying?

If you remember back to when this first happened, they first released only grainy photos of him running. Even from this I personally had my suspicions that he was Asian, but all that was reported at the time was that "he is described as about 30 to 40-years-old with a proportionate build and tanned skin". This was also given in the same article that I read initially about the situation, dated August 28, 2024 - 10:25PM: "Detectives are looking into a number of lines of inquiry and have hinted more footage could be released if the man remained at-large." This inexplicable deliberate delay between releasing the initial pictures and the close up of him looking directly at the camera along with the political correctness of not describing him as being of Asian appearance at the time is exactly what helped him to remain undetected by the general public and gave him enough time to make good his escape.
This happens ALL the time: You know the suspect is non-white because there is no description. I was shocked once after the African immigrant murdered a white grandmother in front of her little granddaughter, and the ABC actually gave a description! I took a screenshot because I knew that the description would be removed quickly. Sure enough, the description was gone when I checked in an hour later. I'm sure that the reporter got a bollocking for daring to describe the suspect. I'm also sure that the given "poor little traumatized African teen" got a slap on the wrist.
This happened where I live, I had seen it happen. I was in shock and disbelief and feel so sorry for that poor baby, and the parents/ family. Makes me even more angrier that those parents will never get justice, now that thing fled Australia. I’ll never get that image out of my head.
Thank you Serpentza. This pathetic attack has horrified and perplexed us here in Australia. It’s interesting to hear your analysis because it seemed so senseless. As for the perpetrator - while we want him to face justice, our overwhelming response to him is contempt.
I think you should focus in your aboriginal people instead, that the other days stabed some people, or what about the australian of the massacre in new zealand? You know this video is bullshit, it is irrasional to talk like this when we are dealing with individual decisions, was not the chinese goverment involved, it is just one in a million of chinese students
A few years ago, a Chinese foreign student in Queensland Australia, went out and caught an Echidna, and then dropped it off a motorway overpass onto another motorway, killing it. When asked why he did it, he said "To see if it would survive". He was encountered by and asked lots of people, asking where to find a variety of wildlife. ☹ I believe he was deported swiftly.
Well thank you very much. This incident happened at Hanlon Park, Stones Corner, Brisbane Queensland. It is only a short walk from my house. Yes we were shocked but had no idea why. This now explains it.
Your explanation makes so much sense. He gamed the Australian visa system and finally got declined for another visa. Interesting that this man fled back to China before there was retribution for his horrific act. Hopefully there will be an international arrest warrant issued which could prevent him from ever leaving China. Certainly everyone needs to be aware of and take preventative measures against these "Revenge against society" attacks by a disgruntled "person".
What’s shameful is that the authorities wouldn’t disclose his nationality for the longest time, and the fact that he was able to escape with ease was appalling
err... because your country has no free press and censorship and control is an authoritarian state directive. True such crimes can and do happen globally but the frequency and exact motivation and crime methods used by mainland Chinese disgruntled citizens and their specific targeting of children for society (or any collateral damage they can do which really amounts to domestic and now international terrorism) is frankly disturbing and unheard of till the last 10+ years of CCP fuckery. You do not see it because such freedom to speak and express is scared out /pressured and suppressed out of existence. Enough people get threatened or actually arrested and the rest just follow along in fear. Dictator police and sophisticated surveillance state 101. Eventually this breeds a lack of care, empathy, awareness, good will and genuine community and tolerance. It replaces with with suspicion, hatred, hardship and anger leading to at best the bystander effect or worst acts of atrocity like this. en-masse. Truly sad and deeply cowardly, psychopathic behaviour. Just because it is not reported does not mean it did not happen. The proof is there, but you really need to look for it and get outside the great firewall that narrows your perspective and warps your impressions. Since you use UA-cam, you clearly have a VPN, so this should be trivial for you to discover. The CCP and its tiresome falsely patriotic blustering and need for adulation for everything it has failed and continues to fail at. This of course shares the blame for the endemic cause of these issues and its persistence and proliferation abroad. We can only hope the sane majority of Chinese citizens including yourself I am sure, can really move and act to push their government, society and behaviour to change to a more peaceful, considerate and respectful stance and reject/fight this crap as much as possible in whatever large or small way you can. Many deserve better and I am sure you and others show disgust for these acts, but the fairly large number of sycophants and scumbag xenophobes, Han supremacy nutters, racists, communists, CCP shills and white collar criminal assholes need to be incarcerated and if abroad, caught, imprisoned, deported and barred from re-entry. Which includes the CCP and its top ranks plus Xi. So long as they do not respect society where they are visiting/staying in/working with internationally and obey the laws and rules, there will be problems and this makes all of China look scummy, uncivilised and backwards. Its not much to ask for, it amounts to common decency and not been a prick. Just because free countries are open and nice, does not mean they will tolerate bullshit. Anyone will get slapped a sentence or marched to the gates if they fuck around and find out. Anyone else, regardless of ethnicity, race, religion, gender, orientation etc. is welcome. Do something about your mans China.
We need more Chinese students - WONT SOME ONE THINK OF THE UNIVERCITIES OMG WHAT ABOUT THEIR PROFITS. The govt here has always been way to soft on China. It actually makes me ashamed to be Australian.
Having Albanese kowtowing to any overseas leader is humiliating. He gives them a big hug , and describes the foreign leader as " my good friend Premier Li etc. Past Master of Snivelling Anthony Albanese.
The biggest fear is poisoning, which is impossible to prevent. There have been many such cases in China。 A 22-year-old Chinese international student majoring in chemistry at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, USA, put toxic metals into his roommate's drinking water and food for several months, causing him to become ill continuously. The international student was charged with homicide by the local prosecutor on Thursday 20th. Publish time: 21/12/2018 - 15:43
That poisoning is terrible - but remember the Chinese mindset is curious. Remember that issue with a Chinese 'Research' Lab spreading a virus they were messing about with ? 7 Million worldwide dead. Millions more with post=Covid damage....

He'd been going back and forth to Australia since 2019. In that time I'm sure he'd made connections and contacts and friends, yet not one single person from his community contacted police. That just goes to show that they ALL think this is ok. I really don't understand why our govt even let's them in as students, let alone let's them buy property and become citizens! Having a trade relationship with a country, should not mean having to take in millions of ppl who have a similar mentality and think things like this are ok!...

When I learned about the identity of the attacker in Zürich I immediately recalled your first video on this issue. Sadly, my suspicions were confirmed. But thank God the three boys who were injured survived. Love from Switzerland
(this was several years ago) We had one in our small town as an exchange student. He started a fist fight a few times at school. Our town was only 5000 people so word travelled fast when he was immediately sent back home. He claimed he was being bullied for being Chinese. The host family, who were actually good people in the community, owners of a car dealership and had hosted exchange students before, revealed what behavior went on. He was loud and rude, would hit on their daughter who's boyfriend had to come over on the off hours, at some point the brother had caught this kid attempting to spy on the sister. It was routine he would attempt to start arguments and fights. After fighting with some local boys, he claimed it was bullying, but the video evidence of him misbehaving on snapchat, threatening, etc were all over town by that point. The next exchange student who came was a Australian, he only stayed for a few months but he was a blast to hang out with. A lot of people liked him and it was really sad to see him leave. The next after that was an Italian, he ended up inviting the host family to his wedding not too long ago. He got married in cowboy boots and a cowboy hat, because he felt the US was like a piece of him. I still have the 10 Euro he gave to me, framed in my house.
what the heck is up with your town? the only hobby yall have it to get exchange students? and only 5k residents? inbreeding is a real thing dontcha know?

I know exactly what you mean. I'm in the UK and we got a large Chinese community here too. Here's my experiences with them: 1. I go to the launderette as my washing machine wasn't working. Chinese woman was the assistant that day. She at first tells me what to do as if I were a stupid child, them screams, waves her fists at me and threatens me before banning me for life. I leave and call police. Owner of the launderette views the camera recordings - he is shocked, fires her on the spot as he can clearly see what's been happening, and profusely apologizes to me. The other staff members later tell me how relieved they are that she's gone as she was so aggressive that customers refused to go there on days when she would be there. 2. I drive up a side road trying to turn round. Chinese woman follows me, all of a sudden screams abuse at me. I have to close my car window and drive off to escape her tantrum. 3. I meet a work colleague of Chinese origin, think I have found a friend. However, really this goes back to her forcing her way into my life, not mutual liking as would be normal in a friendship. Next thing, she spends an entire afternoon telling me what to do with my life, shouting at me, berating me, publicly humiliating me. I am in my thirties and have far more life experience than most people in their eighties, I don't need to be told how to live my life! Not wishing to create trouble at work, after some thinking it through I make the decision to ghost her as no explaining to her what she's done would get through to her anyway. Since then she's harassing me, with her still managing to get through because I cannot block a colleague on my work email and Teams. Luckily she works in a different location so I don't have to see her. 4. A friend of a friend dates a Chinese man, admittedly a member of the local drug gang. She has no choice but to split up, complaining that he only sees her for one thing (s * x). 5. Each time I buy something off a Chinese trader over ebay, I receive trash, and when I ask for a refund/replacement, the trader gets aggressive and abusive and I am forced to get ebay involved to get my money back. Happens each and every time. I refuse to buy anything from Chinese traders now, no matter what! Never have such trouble with Westerners...

Australian here. Thanks for the video explainig the situation. Unfortunately our institutions have really dropped the ball on this case. When the story broke the media & police would not even state the man was from china although reading inbetween the lines it was obvious. There also appears to be really poor communication between Queensland and New South wales police which aided the man in fleeing which the media described as "He appeared to be familiar with police procedures"
That he was allowed to fly out of Sydney is just a disgrace, I suspect certain powers at be knew about him and just let him leave, they didn't want to "offend" China. Would not surprise me. I believe nothing the authorities here ( in Brisbane) say untill I actually see him before a court here .
I think they will approach it differently, and I would rather he faces justice in China. Look at the case of when a Chinese national stabbed a taxi driver in NZ and NZ sent the info to China to deal with him…
China doenfe extradite their people.. They also don't care about crimes done overseas.. Unless its becomes a massive problem for China as a whole they will not care and leave him alone..
Australia has more power than the government seems to realise, we could definitely do it but, like you said, they won't. International relations and such nonsense.
As an Australian I was shocked and disgusted. My heart goes out to the poor child and the family. Also, enough with the misinformation in the comments people. He hadn't been fully identified before he fled beyond some CCTV images that werent very clear. They didnt identify him as Chinese because they didn't know what nationality he was yet and didn't want vigilantes attacking random people. He was also familiar with the tactics police use to catch people so knew his best options to escape. There is no grand conspiracy by the Australian government to let it happen because of trade with China. It was one bad person that knew how to game the system.
Sorry but even the low resolution photo made it plain that this was an East Asian ethnic background, not a European or South American. And given that he had failed a visa renewal his passport should have been flagged!

writing from Australia here. thanks for the explanation. I was so confused as the motivation for such a cowardly act. That poor child has to live this the scars of his actions. 😢 Makes my blood boil just thinking about it.
Hope you are equally sad for the children and babies murdered in Gaza by the Israeli military supported by the US government. Hope you are equally sad for the many SE Asian children abused by Westerners. Google Peter Scully who raped, tortured, and murdered up to 75 children in the Phillipines.
It's political extremism. Happens to religious extremists as well. They see everyone else as evil, as the enemy. So they think they are in the right for doing it.
this mindset has been seen in nazis, communists, neo communists, neo nazis, far-lib-left activists and many more, they are literally taught to hate with a false overly inflated sense of nationalism and see everyone as lesser, to the perpetrator he probably feels not only just, but he thinks he has done a good thing, asi fit was his mission, thats the problem with extremism because at a certain point you stop seeing the opponent as someone who disagrees, and instead as a threat you YOUR GREAT AND 100% INFALLABLE IDEOLOGY that you feel that the ends justify the means
Thanks for that explanation. I live in the city where that happened - and frequently look after small children in my extended family. We also live right in front of one of the most popular parks for picnicking (though not the spot where it happened). Like most everyone else here, we were shocked to have this happen here ... and my heart goes out to the family. No-one could understand why anyone would do such a thing - to pick on an innocent baby. All we got told was that it was a "foreign national" (though clearly Asian from the photo) and that the police massively botched catching the guy. Now the guy's back in Mainland China he'll escape justice. At least now, thanks to your video, its helped fill in some of the missing pieces. Thanks for the insight.

Thanks so much for the explanation. The news about this in Australia has been censored so much, they wouldn’t even say which country the guy was originally from and went back to. Thankfully the police are going to do their best to extradite this criminal to face the consequences of his actions.
I will say him being prosecuted in China is a better shot…. Aussie give evidence to Chinese authorities and let the China court deal with him…. Bet it’s will be a lot harsher than even the maximum jail term in Australia. Bit like the NZ one where Chinese national stabbed a taxi driver and flees and nz gov gave the info to Chinese authorities to deal with him and he’s serving like 20 years in a Chinese jail. Or another one is where a Brazilian national stabbed someone to death in austraila and fled to Brazil, Aussie gave the info to Brazil and said charge him to your desire and he got 20 years in a Brazil prison
This video is how I finally found out he was Chinese.. The only way I found out previously that he was Asian was from the photo of him that eventually got released.. Asking questions....not concluding. )
On Tuesday (October 8), the first working day after the National Day holiday in China, a 60-year-old man stabbed passers-by at the entrance of a primary school in Tianhe District, Guangzhou, injuring three people. It is said that the two injured were primary school students, and one of the fifth-grade girls was seriously injured. The incident has caused panic among parents.

Well, let's blame the Australian government for Peter Scully eh? Its about as logical as blaming the Chinese government for this one particular incident.
I am Korean living in Australia and saw the news, "An Asian man ..." I wondered what country the Asian man was from and could not figure out or even imagine why he would do that. It seemed so random, especially because the baby's family had never even seen the man at all. But now thanks to your video, I understand his action in a way.

If you remember back to when this first happened, they first released only grainy photos of him running. Even from this I personally had my suspicions that he was Asian, but all that was reported at the time was that "he is described as about 30 to 40-years-old with a proportionate build and tanned skin".
This was also given in the same article that I read initially about the situation, dated August 28, 2024 - 10:25PM:
"Detectives are looking into a number of lines of inquiry and have hinted more footage could be released if the man remained at-large."
This inexplicable deliberate delay between releasing the initial pictures and the close up of him looking directly at the camera along with the political correctness of not describing him as being of Asian appearance at the time is exactly what helped him to remain undetected by the general public and gave him enough time to make good his escape.
This happens ALL the time: You know the suspect is non-white because there is no description. Your explanation makes so much sense. He gamed the Australian visa system and finally got declined for another visa. Interesting that this man fled back to China before there was retribution for his horrific act. Hopefully there will be an international arrest warrant issued which could prevent him from ever leaving China.

I mean, I'm Chinese in China but I don't even know anything about these incidents. There's just no one reporting or posting it
Does that surprise you?
err... because your country has no free press and censorship and control is an authoritarian state directive.

Here's my experiences with them:

The question now is, will the Australian government exert diplomatic pressure to send this man back to face justice. Probably not, ...
Of course they will ffs
I think they will approach it differently, and I would rather he faces justice in China. Look at the case of when a Chinese national stabbed a taxi driver in NZ and NZ sent the info to China to deal with him…
China doenfe extradite their people..
They also don't care about crimes done overseas..
Unless its becomes a massive problem for China as a whole they will not care and leave him alone..
Australia has more power than the government seems to realise, we could definitely do it but, like you said, they won't.

The government just rewarded china with cheap lobsters. Disgusting
And more to the point, it can happen elsewhere too, because the "revenge against society" phenomenon just keeps festering and growing.
But you have to agree China is the most hated country by Australia despite china being the top trade partner! It's like money can buy friends! 🤣

Sorry but even the low resolution photo made it plain that this was an East Asian ethnic background, not a European or South American. And given that he had failed a visa renewal his passport should have been flagged!
