I cried as it happened and after it happened for 20 minutes long. It was such a powerful ending man..
same and even after I watched it for like 2 weeks I kept thinking about it
Lol I really believe that's the ending that Sutter wanted to go with but a lot of fanswere predicting that history would predict itself by the ending of the show. Jax would die similar to JT by the hands of somebody in his club, and Abel will grow upreading all of the journals that Jax left for him. The same way John left journals for jax.
Yesterday I finished SoA! It was such a powerful ending I couldn't sleep!

When he was on the highway i knew what was gonna happen. I knew it but didnt want to accept it. It was cool, like that was the best way he couldve gone, just like his old man, but i still didnt want it to happen. Best series ever.

I'm in hell now , after him I've crawled into my shell and can't care enough what's going on with my life , it's been 4 years since his death and I couldn't get over it , never talked about it anyone else before but your comment touched my soul and well... this is internet :) I'm so sorry about your girlfriend hope life will treat you better and hope you'll be happy dude somehow there's nothing we can do about losing a loved one except hoping life will get better by time even though you know you'll never get over your loss

man i've just finished the show, i've got no words to explain how i feel. For me is the best show i've ever seen, it's so deep. when i realised that the homeless girl was the death, everyone who saw her died, it gave me chills

I remember when I bought the final episode... lol I woke up 2 hours early before work.. checked my bank account... hopped on Amazon Instant Video... took a deep breath... bought the episode (2$).... and watched.... by 6:30 am I had probably done lost my mind.. teared up... I was all fucked up... I walked into work looking like I had just came from a funeral.... the moment Jax sticks his arms out and meets "Mr. Mayhem"... that just about did it... even thinking about it now just gets me all fucked up... this song fits the scene PERFECTLY!... Kurt Sutter.. you god damn genius

Little tidbit, a murder is a group of crows. So when he says "come join the murder" he is talking as a crow telling Jax to come join us and we'll take you away from your troubles. He isn't saying to murder anyone or such. Also in mythology, the crow is often seen as a soul taker, or a sign of impending death.
I always get creeped out when I see a bunch of crows lol...Its funny, I used to work in a city well known for murders and crime and every day at my work complex I'd see at least 100 crows on the rooftops of this old office complex watching over the city and I'd think of SoA, pretty crazy...
Anyway, not being a smart ass, just wanted to pass along that tidbit if anyone wasn't aware of the mythology of the crow. I hope this brings more meaning to this already beautiful song! :)

The murder of crows is literally the Motorcycle Club. They offer you freedom from human troubles and laws. There is no satanic stuff in this song. Everything is about the choice Jax had to make. Just listen to the soundtrack of SOA. It's pretty much the same.
Bobby Baev ...that's spot on. I was so intrigued by the poetry of this song. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Kurt Sutter and Bobby Thiele had penned the lyrics and music. The song has no outside influences and was created specifically for the last minutes of the finale. It's gut wrenching and genius.

This song breaks my heart since the last SOA episode. Such a tragic ending. But I have to admit Tara's death broke me more... because when she died, Jax died too. Jax getting killed (or killing himself) at the end of season 7 became inevitable from that very moment :(

Part of him definitely died with Opie. But he could have made it through with time. With Tara there was just no coming back, especially knowing Gemma did it.
I think he would have survived if he never found out about Gemma killing her. He would have got with Wendy and raised his kids like he and Tara were preparing to do so many times...

Mr Kurt Sutter is a true master of his craft. The most powerful TV ever. To be able to evoke such emotion from so many is a true gift. Absolutely love this amazing song, true perfection.

Sim cara, SoA é incrível: a união do clube, Jax tentando tirar o grupo da ilegalidade, a trilha sonora, a pegada Shakespeareana da série, o final ultra dramático e pesado! Que série, pra mim fica logo atrás de Breaking Bad como melhor série!
Great show and a perfect song that sums up the entire show somehow, like a seven minute flashback that ends with a clash. Jax was one of the most controversial heroes the TV has ever known, and yet it was so difficult to say goodbye to him and to the show. the soundtrack of the series was without a doubt the best soundtrack a TV show has ever had, this song made the finale and the whole series even better, thank you!

A lot of people dont like the ending but i think it was perfect. Looking at it from a writers pov it was poetic. He made the ultimate sacrifice for his brothers. Plus ending it by having him go out the way his father did and on his bike was the best way to write and ending. I love the show...hands down one of the best endings ive ever watched.

This songs lyrics are also Hamlet based on symbolism. The song focuses on betrayal, regret and all those things the SOA life brought. The show has a very heavy Shakespearean style and this song says it all to the end. An excellent song and fitting for the show and ending.

Replying to your comment that you wrote 8 months ago about how SOA messed you up...I just finished binge watching Sons this weekend (3.13.17). 13 eps per 7 Seasons in one month - it quickly drew me in and I went in hard. You said it perfectly. It's a show, it's acting and not real, but I fell in love with SOA - the series and accompanied soundtrack has affected me too deeply. I feel like I'm in mourning.

I think they used this song partly because the lyrics..."Come join the murder", might refer to the crows at the end. As a group of crows are called a 'Murder', I think it's meant to symbolise Jax joining the rest of the deceased Sons
Its exactly what I think,, that it refers to the CROWS, then a looked in google and tells me that a group of crows its called ...CRIME
Actually if you listen to the song it tells of life with the crows. Like how SAMCRO offered the life and the raven talked him into how great it was but then the raven laughed- flew from eden it was really hell- the children with broken wings

Sons of Anarchy is essentially a modern making of Shakespeare's story "Hamlet". A lot of the elements from his play are present here. Hamlet's father speaking to him from beyond the grave (John Teller's manuscript)
The deaths of those closest to Jax (His wife, his mother, his brother Opie) same with Hamlet, especially in his persuit of revenge against those who wronged him (Clay, Barovski, Damon Pope and August Marks)
As for the homeless woman. That bit infuriates me to since I have no idea as to who the hell she is or what she was about. I always speculated that she was an undercover cop investigating the Sons for some shady lawmakers but nothing ever came of it.
+KiddCrowley As far as I've heard, Kurt Sutter, the creator of SOA, has pointed out in a UA-cam video that the homeless woman is Jesuschrist, without more detail. In my opinion this would explain why she is always in the most important moments of Jax.

Game of Thrones/Breaking Bad are without doubt the best TV shows to have been made. But after just finishing SoA, I am literally speechless. The show is a must watch and I do not think any TV show will ever top it IMO.
