I still can’t believe how amazing this version sounds!!! I know it took him a lot of attempts and was not one take but still so good for someone who doesn’t sing!!! The story behind it makes it so much better with him releasing this as a counter to all the ai covers proving he can do it for real! Great reaction!!

Iirc he said that if people wanted him to do a cover for another song, he wants to be paid, not because of greed, but because he did like 10k or so retakes in total to get the perfect pitches and other sht that went down that made the session hell, so if he is going to do that much work one more time when making another cover, he is going to get fucking paid because or else it's not worth it at all.
Wow that's crazy, I don't blame him for being paid, specially if he's done that many retakes and put that much work into it

@@RetiringvirusReacts Yeah when the whole ai song cover stuff happened it eventually got to the point where people started doing people they just thought would be goofy picks to cover songs instead of just random famous singers. And when this started happening he became one of the most used voices for ai song covers and some turned out scarily good leading his fanbase to realize that he may actually have a good singing voice. When Shlatt eventually noticed this he decided that he would record a real cover of My Way because that was one of the most popular ones going around in order to show his audience that he is better than the ai. Apparently at first he wanted to make a full album but soon found out how difficult it is to do these as a non-singer and only made the one stating that he would not be continuing without severe financial compensation because of how long it took to get good takes of him hitting all of the notes.
i had never thought that big guy schlatt would leave us thi soon. Hope he rest his heaven and his deeds od '99 would be forgiven.

@@RetiringvirusReactshe did a real cover of it to prove a point on the jschlagg channel. He sung each line many times ovet and stitched it together to get it right. People are either nor caught up or just dont believe him but people put the ai and the real cover sode by side to compare and you can tell theres a noticable difference even though theyre very close
