A shooting at Donald Trump ’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania is being investigated as an attempted assassination of the former president and presumptive Republican nominee, law enforcement officials say … officials are also reportedly investigating as a possible domestic terror act.
Both president biden and former president Trump called Sunday for unity and resilience as shocked leaders across the political divide reacted to the shooting.

Both of Wood’s parents served in Vietnam where they met and eventually had baby Jeff. Jeff also proudly served in the United States military.

I haven't seen anyone talk about how this was one hell of a coincidental timing. 2 days before the former president was suppose to get an increased secret service package after becoming the nominee. So did he know that? That would have taken some level of research or advanced knowledge.

Watching and hearing all of this makes me remember my time at Fort Stewart during Desert Storm. President Bush came to the base to speak to the families of the soldiers who were deployed. My unit and I were tasked with assisting with the security for the visit. I still remember the briefing we received from the Secret Service. I was shocked and amazed at the number of things they thought of in the effort to make sure that the visit went off without a hitch. Seeing what happened to Trump and having that history in my head makes me shake my head at the failures.
I have always been proud of my tiny part of providing security for the President. And given that experience I never really thought I would see something like this happen.
I have also told people ever since that visit that if someone is willing die they can possibly take out the target.
Diversity is not more important than safety.
That kid was trying to make a name for himself, he was bullied every day in school, he ate lunch by himself, his classmate said he was bullied ruthlessly…and had no friends, when will these kids wake up and stop bullying there classmates?
Probably many factors involved, but I’ll bring up two things that I think contribute greatly, and are tied to one another. The first is phones/internet and social media. People don’t interact as much in person these days, and are constantly on their phones/devices, and that can often make you not see a person as a person with feelings, emotions, etc. There is a degree of separation, and dehumanization that takes place, IMO. And the second thing, which I believes is connected to this, is a lack of empathy. It really shocks me to see how unaffected many people are by things that should give them pause and make them FEEL something.
Kids will always bully others. However, years ago you went to school and got bullied, then went home and were *usually able to get away from that person. I don’t say that to in any way minimize the hurt that people have ever experienced from being bullied. But it was different. Now, they go home and get bullied online. There is the ability to be bullied 24/7. I would never justify or excuse what the sh00*er did, but it is sad that there was nobody who would some alongside him and be his friend. I could goon, but I think I’ve probably rambled enough.

This is so interesting! I’m so glad they are sharing their perspective. These secret service people are so honorable and we, as lay people, have no room to judge what they did.
Hi. Love your show. I'm from Australia and I have some questions. First of all I'm so sorry this event occurred. This is very uncommon in Oz and I think it's mainly due to our gun laws. We had a horrible massacre of 35 people in 1996 in our state called Tasmania at Port Arthur. Within days our Prime Minister (Conservative) John Howard changed the gun laws. Amongst other things a buy back and banning automatic weapons.
So I'm really interested to understand why the USA can't or won't do this?
Possibly a simplistic question without a simple answer.
Not sure what is going on with UA-cam but i rarely get any type of notification for the crime videos i tend to watch.
As a tax payer, I am appauled to hear the failure to approve the requested additional protection for former President Trump. But beyond that there was criminal negligence in the security plan and execution prior to the event.

They are loyal to their customers, who rely on Apple to keep their data secured. If they open a "back door" to their encryption for the government, it will then be open to anyone. Data security on their devices will not exist.
