A sweet story about Catherine happened in September 2016. They were visiting Canada and for the fifth day (and overnight) they flew to the far north. During their short visit to Yukon Territory which is next to Alaska, Catherine wore a pair of earrings by a completely unknown jewelry designer from the Yukon. Overnight Shelley MacDonald became famous and her tiny business took off. More than anything I’ve always been extremely impressed by this kindness.
    * Ulu Earrings which is a tool that the First Nations people use.
The Yukon is the size of Spain with a whopping 45,000 people living there, including me. 😊 And I’ve never met the jewelry designer. It’s just a great story about our beautiful Princess.

WAH WAH WAH!” I can’t believe she was an actress. She’s not even a good liar. There are plenty of times where other members of Royal Family are wearing neutrals so what did she do when someone else showed up to an event in crème or beige? Did she take off all her clothes and just go naked? I don’t think so.

Meghan shops based on designer and price tag NOT on style or fit. Meghan looked good on Suits as she had to wear what wardrobe stylist game her to wear. She does it out of ego and is trying to show off “look at me, I can afford these expensive pieces and you can’t’.”
Why she didn’t use that aesthetic for her future wardrobe is beyond me. Meghan could have found one or two British designers who could design for her body and become her style silhouette. Or found a seamstress like an Angela Kelly to create a wardrobe that filled her closets for the amount she spent on clothes that were attractive and made with beautiful fabrics.

No, I don’t think Meghan misunderstood & thought if the Queen is wearing blue, then she couldn’t wear blue. I think the aides explained the concept to her clearly, probably multiple, multiple times, but Meghan dismissed the common sense, helpful advice & wore what she wanted to wear regardless. Then Meghan took the truth & twisted it into a lie designed to make everyone else look evil & make Meghan look like the innocent victim like she always does. That clothing rule is basically the same idea as “Don’t wear white to a wedding”, but the Queen just tailored it to the color she was wearing & the occasion.

It wasn't Meghan jumping to conclusions about receiving a message about the colour the Queen would be wearing, it was Meghan deliberately and publically twisting the meaning of that tradition/communication to put the Royal Family in the worst possible light. Very true, but this offence-taking and apparent sensitivity seem only to have been evident after she married Harry. Before Harry she managed to get a part in a cable TV series; start a relatively successful blog; then she managed to edge her way into Canadian society before setting her cap at a prince and getting him. She had PR people and business managers and was apparently quite a determined individual. Not many shrinking violets would make a 6-part series attacking the British Royal Family either.
Yet, since marrying Harry she's acted like the complete opposite. In the Oprah interview we had the "Catherine made me cry" story, plus the one about Catherine going shopping and not asking her along, not forgetting the tale of being depressed and having no idea how to get help. It's as if we're looking at two different women - which is what she still tries to portray. We have the 'strong independent feminist' one minute, then the helpless victim of an evil royal family the next. I don't believe she's sensitive and I don't believe for a moment that whatever she alleges one of the RF said that was 'racist' even bothered her. She is just weaponising racism and victimhood in an attempt to get herself up that ladder.

Diana and Catherine also dress to a English style of upper class women. It's quite distinct. Comes from family, school and social influence. It's not just a "Royal" look. Sadly you could tell Meghan did not understand this level of dressing because she didn't know that upper class style. Instead of either keeping her own modern California style, or learning the Brit one, she got lost in her angry attempt to upstage them. The Queen did not "let" her dresser make decisions for her, far from it. HMTQ knew what she liked, what worked for her and made purchasing and dressing decisions around that.

His whinging that people had no right to cry over his mother’s death - reiterated as a grown man - since she was not THEIR mother and didn’t even know her is likely the most profound example of stupidity and arrogance I have seen in all my life.

You're a sweetheart Beebs for trying to excuse the Meg's bad behaviour. But I think her bad choice of clothes is a symptom of her bad personality rather than a cause. A scratchy tag or too-tight skirt cannot excuse all the lies, slander, grifts, etc. Her narcissism did that, same as it did choosing clothes for their price tag, designer name and thumbing her nose at everyone by wearing a clashing colour, inappropriate outfit, refusal to take advice, etc.
I feel wearing an outfit that does not respect the occasion is like chatting and fidgeting during the British and Canadian anthems.

I found the comment in Omid Scobie’s book that Catherine and Meghan were encouraged to dress like Diana just so ridiculous. If this was implied then I’m sure it was meant to mean take note of Diana’s ability to look modern, polished and professional. NOT dress exactly the same. Diana always dressed perfectly for the occasion in clothes that suited her body type. She wore brands that showcased British designers but didn’t wear labels just for the sake of the label.

The late Queen understand what clothes meant and what message was being sent by what she wore. Diana learnt how to dress and used her image to bring attention to the causes she championed. Catherine has learnt from them and took instruction on all aspects of her appearance and built on that to forge her own identity.
The other one has for some reason gone in the exactly opposite direction and looks ridiculous rather than Royal.

I think Meghan thought she knew more about fashion and did not need any help in that area because she was a "movie star".(in her own mind). It has been said that Sophie was asked to help her but was told she needed no help. Princess Catherine took advice, listened to what others said because she did not want to step wrong. This is what makes her such a winner.

Very well said and presented Beebs! The Princess of Wales is ALWAYS thoughtful with her clothes and jewellery and gets it just right. Her clothes are immaculately fitted and ❤ that she is never afraid of COLOUR. Duchy Del Taco's wardrobe is completely ill fitted right down to her shoes. Beige and black it seems is all she wears (even tho she claimed she didn't want to stand out in the RF). Since leaving the RF her clothes are so much worse. Me thinks she's conning designers to send her freebies and could be the reason NOTHING FITS! Famous story about about her swiping a pair of high end shoes when shooting a commercial in Canada.

The Queen, for all her many fine qualities, did not really have any interest in clothes. Diana was a revelation, because for the first time in living memory we had a Princess who was interested in fashion and looking good.

I worked at an office in a business and we had lots of rules, too. I had to wear my hair up, since it was passed my shoulders, I couldn't wear colored nail polish, had to wear nude hoisery and close toes shoes. It was a restaurant so there was also a front of house. When we were in front of customers we would hand them papers or the menu with two hands instead of one. The company was founded in Asia and they had many of these little things that we would do for customers and everyone understood, those were the rules. It's not only what made the company unique, they were there for a reason. People looked put together and while it was a pain in the butt because I hate panty hose, I did it of course. You either show up and you're ready to work or you correct what's out of place, ripped stocking, fix hair, etc. 👗👠 M is the perfect example of someone who doesn't follow the rules or is combative JUST because then she will get to become the one picked on, 'bullied', picked apart even. I've never seen someone who finds being a victim so utterly necessary in EVERY SINGLE PART OF THEIR LIFE. It's impressive how up her own ass she is. 😊

So it’s not this greedy or high-and-mighty attitude like “look at me in a tiara, peasants!” It’s more representing the Queen/King and being a steward of the jewels. I think part of that too might be from her less aristocratic upbringing. She’s just more down to earth about it all.

Another consideration, for why Meghan looks so awkward, unpolished, and clunky might be that her exterior reflection of her interior. Since many suspect she a narcissist maybe we’re just seeing the expression of it in her clothing. This would also explain why Catherine, princess of Wales always looks impeccable and is so thoughtful. ❤️

Stealth wealth is a ridiculous concept, especially these days! While Catherine does wear some expensive clothes, she also re-wears her clothes & often shops past years collection. As you said, appropriateness is considered the top priority not price. No wonder Charles told Harry that he could not afford MM!🤭🫣🤣

Diana Princess of Wales did have some misses in that she was very young, and in the beginning she allowed herself to be really frumpy. And then she found her groove & never looked back. Same with Catherine Princess of Wales. Smeghan is ALWAYS a bit off, deliberately. Bad fit, bad underwear, inappropriate....just wrong enough to be jarring.
Whoever is stying Queen Camilla is killing it!

I read an article today about Lisa Kay, who designs shoes and bags, middle of the road cost; when her own feet protested at high heels, and the start of bunions, she designed shoes with this in mind. She said that she nearly died when she saw Camilla (before she was queen) wearing her shoes and discovered that she had numerous pairs. Also, wearing the shoes are Helen Mirren, Julia Roberts, Olivia Colman. And the shoes are still affordable!!!

I know Megs is just so envious of the POW she can’t see straight. Her narcissism overwhelms any sliver of common sense she may possess. It’s all about being the best Megs thinks she can be.

Almost exactly right. Megs only desire is to be BETTER than others. It's always a losing game, but when your nemesis is the literal POW (one of the most elegant women on Earth), it's painful.

I loved the seeming coordination at the Korean state banquet. The Princess Royal, Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Edinburgh all wore a white or cream dress with a kind of capelet or bolero. With a tiara of course. The Queen dazzled in red, one of the colours of the Korean flag. Earler when the Royal party welcomed the Korean president and his wife, the Queen wore navy and Princess Catherine wore red, in honour of the Korean 🇰🇷

    Tights=Pantyhose
When American women hear 'tights' we usually think opaque, normally ballet type hosiery. When I first heard Rachel didn’t want to wear 'tights' with her outfits, I was in agreement with that. Who wants to wear opaque hosiery with an outfit? Then I was told 'tights' for woman in the U.K. generally mean ‘pantyhose' for a woman in the U.S. Oh, now I get it💡 I thought Rachel wasn’t adhering to something as basic in the 'dress code' as that? How tacky. Not wearing pantyhose to functions? Even in California professional dress require pantyhose. So no ballet style, real tights for the little girls in her wedding?😳🙄

Thank you for recognizing PC ‘s love of the world and our struggles and challenges! She strives to make herself relatable and accessible to everyone through her work, clothes/accessories and goals to help others achieve or accomplish their goals and dreams in life. Her charity work is always phenomenal and done with love and respect! That’s why her styles stand the test of time. She makes classic choices long-term for herself as well as using her style choices to create improved business models or outcomes for designers in Britain and the commonwealth with visits.

Every choice we make , when we interact with others, communicates for us. It’s not just the words we say. This includes our appearance . Your grooming, your clothing choices, how you physically hold yourself, your body language. Meghan had the best advice in the world available to her and chose not to take it. That’s on her.

Our late Queen was tiny in stature and always said " Her People need to be able to see her". Not from a vain stance, but if people has slept on the pavement (sidewalk) in order to see her at some event, then she did not want to disappoint them. Hence the reason she always wore bright colours for Public engagements. She saved the more muted palate and simple design for her private life. A lot of the time she was happy and relaxed in a tartan pleated skirt and knitted sweater and matching cardigan (twinset) a pair of flat loafers. Jewellery usually her signature pearls and a brooch.
Meghan did not grasp the concept of "The working wardrobe".

Catherine has gentle beauty which doesn't require flashy and distracting jewels and clothing. She picks outfits which are tailored for her, fits her personality, and is appropriate for the event. The fact she wears classic outfits without heavy "gilding" of jewelry shows confidence. M's clothes show a harsh, confused, "look at me" attitude meant to prove she's a confident leader. She truly doesn't seem to understand how to use outfits appropriately, and wears things based on labels and price tags.

I think the Megs from the start intended to show disrespect to the RF, beginning with her wearing ripped jeans for meeting the then Cambridges. We know she ignored dress codes on 2 occasions: Louis's baptism, as you showed, and her wearing red for a military event, where red is the ONLY color that officer's partners are not supposed to wear..
SueMe has suggested that the too tight clothing may be evidence of a histrionic personality. M has a better opinion of her appearance than the rest of us, in my opinion
