Why don't he turn his ram delay on? Lol. It would keep the metal from slamming back down after the bend is complete. 😅 and yes. You're supposed to stop or pause the program befor sticking fingers in it. There is a safety pedal with a flap and safety switch that allows you to hit the pedal to activate it. Never trust a machine when it's in an active program.
@ShakyJohn it's called different things but manufacturers call it "ram delay". It's slows the speed going into and out of the pinch point. Whatever you have the pinch point set at. It will slowly let the material down instead of high speed return just letting the part fall.
