Thank you, Chadwick, for taking the time and expending the energy to produce and share a truly informative video. Not only were your comments valuable indeed, the effort you made to fully delineate valuable details was really appreciated. Thank you Charlie for this video. This was really fun seeing everything from the train's perspective.I am so glad I found your channel. I was watching Everard Junction and your channel came up and I thought I'd give you a view to see what you were all about. SO GLAD I did! The Hornby Magazine diesel brake tender would be perfect to build this into with a keyhole camera. These tenders were pushed on some regions, so would be "scale"

A terrific video. I’m sold. Watching the video of the giant hand coming down to crush the train looked like modern Ray Harryhausen (Mighty Joe Young, The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms, It Came from Beneath the Sea, The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, The Centaur, etc.) Very scary! 😂😂😉 Another informative, well done video. From the manual
To charge your Polaroid Cube+, plug it into
either an outlet or computer, using the included
micro USB cable. The LED will blink orange
    while charging.
Suggests it will stop blinking when charged.

Wonderful! Personally, I prefer the rear view when the camera attached to the last car or behind the locomotive. It gives me relaxation. In real world I like to set in the end of the last train car to watch rails behind it, specially during nights with moon light!

Charlie, I know you are into your photography as a hobby too. So this Polaroid Cube is ideal to crossover both hobbies and ties them together, sort of speak. Though watching this film it does point out one problem about investing in a DCC Sound set up. Once to start up the rolling stock with the Sound Chip going and you move your loco around the layout. All is fine until you hit a dead power spot. As you know when you hit that spot everything stops dead and that includes the sound.
I bit like (as you point out on another film) the Thud, Thud, Thud of hearing point motors switch over in the background as you set a route while hearing the superb sounds of your various locos in the foreground. It destroys the illusion of running and hearing the sound of your model trains going thru there routines. The wonderful sounds play away until you cross onto the dead spot, and its the end of the audio feedback. You have to then give your loco the helping Hand of God to get moving again if you can. Then the sound has to kick back on again once power is restored to power the chip.
This must get annoying to the DCC Sound ower unless there is a way to keep the sound chip going with a Stay Alive circuit on the Sound Decoder Chip. As far as I know, the Stay Alive only holds a charge long enough to keep the lighting going for a while after it has stopped. So this is a worthy bit of information to anyone reading and thinking about getting into DCC Sound,. That this is one of the pitfalls about having a sound chipped locomotive layout. Maybe this is something you can cover in one of your films Charlie if you haven't already do so.
NB: I managed writing that without using the "P" word for running a layout by the model railway purists... LOL.

Another reason is money. Most young people today live hand to mouth, hard to commit time and money to establishing a decent layout like these, I would love to but on my income I would be running a single loco in a circle for years.

Somewhere in a box I have my model railway stuff.
But then I started watching videos on UA-cam about model railways.
Now I have progressed to videos about making videos about model railways...
Hmmm maybe progress is not the right word...
Anyway really clear and informative video.
The really fascinating thing for me was the completely different viewpoint.
With my wargaming hat on I make my models and finish them so that they look good from about a meter away looking down on them on the table top.
I suspect model railways are modelled from a similar point of view.
But if you make "bird's" (or maybe one inch high little people's) eye the viewpoint, all of a sudden modelling has to be taken up a notch and in the round if a realistic immersive experience is to be achieved.
Verticals will need to be vertical, the inside of bridges finished, the gaps under houses and scenery closed up and maybe backscenes extended up or walls painted skyblue or "skysheets" added to cover up bookcases.
    Just a thought.
