Drew, in case you didn't know, Razer sells a Magsafe cooler for the iPhone, it's mainly marketed for gaming and it needs to be plugged in, BUT for a use case like yours it could be perfect to keep the phone cooled down while being used as a camera! It's 59$, so you may want to try it out for your livestreams!
Thanks for the video chapters. I am a fan of your analysis and not crazy about the skits. Being able to easily skip lets those who enjoy the skits watch them and those of us who do not avoid them.

I would love to use continuity camera through a webcam that’s attached to my tv where my Apple TV 4K can detect it and work for FaceTime. But that’s just wishful thinking.
What I would expect from the next release now is the face id support through continuity camera as they stated they can’t fit face id on macbooks with current technology

I've only tried it in Photo Booth and not in some other video capture app like OBS or FaceTime but I think since in Betas 1 and 2 the feed was 30FPS for me, Beta 3 may have updated the frame rate from 30 - 60. You should try it out again on Beta 3 in a live stream :)
For some reason it no longer works for me please help 😩 I have selected iPhone but it says 0% on my iPhone even though it’s fully charged but in my MacBook it shows as 0%. Please advise

As cool as this feature is and I’m sure i will use it loads, this should have been in the last MacOS or earlier. I can’t believe that this wasn’t one of the most helpful software things apple could have done to help people thrown into WFH at the start of the pandemic. It was almost impossible to buy a webcam for 6months

Well You don’t need to “find” the phone its always there i also said attach it without accessory , built -in mount/ magnet I know it’s a personal preference though
Drew why have you gotten comfortable with your channel? Up the quality Brochacho you've been at the same format of videos since like 2017. You can't count on UA-cam making you money forever. I don't think you can be conservative and expect your channel to grow and views to be there.
No tech channels are growing right now. The space has matured and is saturated with creators all posting the same thing. Only channels that grow are clickbaiting and faking news stories which I have no need to. I've spiced up things with the skits and I don't count on UA-cam making me money forever which is why I invest. If you have new ideas I'll listen, but don't complain for the sake of complaining with no solution. That just wastes both of our times

When you switched to the MacBook microphone on yesterday’s livestream it sounded better. Louder and overall more crisp sound. I think 🤔

I’ve used Cameo to do basically the same thing (but 3rd party). I’m super excited to have it built into the OS.

I don't know how much bandwidth the iPhone camera uses, but it be better to go wireless. iPhone lightning ports are only capable of usb 2.0 speeds
Even USB2.0 is still 480Mbps or 60MB/s.
That's definitely not an issue since you could literally stream 4K60 off example from the iPhone that way.

A compressed but high quality 1080p stream is in the 10 Mb/s range. USB2 is 480 Mb/s. 50 concurrent streams would thus be possible.

Does this work with the iPad? I have my iPad on a rig next to my main monitor and the selfie camera is already in the perfect position.
