The best advise I was given when I first started calling ducks is don’t be intimidated. The only way to learn how to call ducks effectively is do it and learn by mistakes.

Great video! I'm a little late to the party. I had a question on hearing protection and calling. I recently purchased the Walker's razor electronic muffs. They work really well.
I'm taking them to the clay range and becoming more familiar with them. But my calling in the muffs just sounds different and off. With no muffs on calling sounds right. Any tips on getting over the mental game here??
It never has bothered me much in the ones i wear. I use pro ears predator golds, and i feel i can still hear my sound pretty good. I feel like it produces the sound as it is, and not like im hearing my self on tv or something. Id say the hearing protection is definitely worth wearing so id either try other pairs to see if they give you the same effect or just get your technique so second nature that you can sound at least pretty close to your normal calling with them on

No doubt, i did that a ton when i was in the beginning. Helped a lot.
