Hey Richie , does it not come with a optional 12T pinion? With my tenacity I got a top speed of 47.6mph with that on it and I was still disappointed as its advertised as 50+mph , I really do think the AVC has something to do with it so next time out I will be turning it either off or on as I did not do that last time out. Let me know what you think bud. 😉👍🏽
Here's an interesting question...Losi 22S SCT, or Traxxas Slash VXL, or Traxxas Slash 4x4? Currently, I have two Rustler 4x4s (one to be converted into a 1/8 buggy), and a Slash 4x4, all of which are primarily for racing (indoor clay track). I also have a TLR 22 5.0 SR, & an 8ight-XE, plus I'll be getting a 22SCT 3.0, all three also for racing. However, I'm considering a "general-purpose" SCT...either 2WD, or 4WD. As you can tell, I have no 'preference' of one brand over the other. Both are great, although one is typically better for racing, while the other is better for bashing. So, thoughts, anyone?
Not sure if you got this figured out or not, but I just picked one up last weekend and the box says with a 22t pinion is required with the 3S lipo to reach the 50mph+ speed

You can turn the power up by programming the esc! Its super powerful when you do that!!
That's for punch and braking. Doesn't effect top speed. If you want 50 plus you need the optional gear

I'm jsut back from holiday so I'm reading the manual and checking the box/bag but I didn't spot one in there. Has to be gearing issue though

Did you try recalibrating the esc as well or just set endpoints? Hopefully that helps!
On the remote I know you can put the power at 25%, 50%, and 100% is it at 100%?
That might by why the car didn't reach 50mph

according to the manual, you need a 22t pinion gear to reach 50
Think 40 miles is enough for my favourit terrain.

You wont get any more speed from a higher Mah rating mate... only a higher voltage.
