I just ordered 4 more cans from them in November via trust and e-form. Got approved end of January. surprise surprise. The first batch I bought took 14 months.
I heard the words "For law enforcement"... Good God... If I owned a suppressor company, I would refuse to sell to 90% of the law enforcement agencies especially the ATF, FBI, DHS.
The thing is you basically can't get approved to manufacture silencers commercially without having some LE customers to help with your signatures. That being said, feds aren't buying products from small companies like this, they are sticking with name brands popular in the government supply like surefire.
Fat Cat is 10.6 oz and $600. This is 15 oz and $1200. I don't know what they're thinking with this thing. Given the price of the YHM Fat Cat this thing shouldn't be more than $500.
@@wx2999 Inconel is a super tough alloy, but it's also super expensive. YHM is just using it for the blast baffle (which makes sense, as it takes most of the beating) and SS for the rest. Banish made this 100% Inconel. Inconel is heavier than SS, but more resistant to...pretty much everything. Fat Cat also has a barrel restriction of 10" for 5.56. Speed K has no barrel restriction. For most of us, Fat Cat will last a lifetime, but if you really need a suppressor that can be exposed to salt-water, run extensively on full auto, dropped from a helo, maybe you get your unit to buy the Speed K. 🤣
Sig SDR5 and B&T RBS have been around for years before the Fat Cat. My Fat Cat was $550 with a free tax stamp from Silencer Shop when I bought it. $1199 LOL
Yeah that's the major killer for these 3D printed sintered designs, they need o be made several times thicker in wall than a normal welded design can be made. And as recent designs have demonstrated, volume matters far more than disruption, so the complex internals of 3D printed designs are mostly wasted weight. A big reason IMO why the delta P basically had similar performance to the surefire micro.
I originally wanted Delta P Designs Brevis III for MCX Rattler. This is in a similar vein, but too late and wrong caliber. Guess I'm sticking with Nomad.
The perceived value of items you have to pay a tax for causes high prices. 3D printing is the future. They know this and charge more despite the decreased long term cost. 14 ounces is ludicrous, btw...
If they are 3d printing this crap. Why are they not 3-400 or so? Seems if you’re not exactly machining anything. Seems like they can make a lot in a short time with less machines
Laser sintering ("3D Printed") metal isnt a cheaper or faster solution. Its actually obscene how expensive the materials, equipment and facilities are. Its used to create a finished product that literally cant be done with traditional subtractive cutters and lathes
Over a thou $ and $200 ransom to the feds. 🤦♂That's insane. I think not. I want the flashbang effect on my AR pistol. 2 1/2" holesaw from Harbor Freight in place of stock flash suppressor. $15. Done
You don't get a can like this to be quiet you jabroni, you get it so you don't blast out your eardrums as you defend your home, family, or life against evil. Seemed to do a good job of flash suppression as well. @RobertoChung

Just what I need on my 12.5 general purpose build
Love to see this VS the YHM Fatt Catt

Make a titanium 30 cal for 300BLK and we have a deal.
KGM R30 Can Or The R30k ! 😉
That is very impressive, think I am going to have to switch from silencer shop and buy this from Silencer Central for my next can.
I like it.
They should just call it the “YHM RIP OFF”
Sig SDR5 and B&T RBS have been around for years before the Fat Cat. My Fat Cat was $550 with a free tax stamp from Silencer Shop when I bought it. $1199 LOL
Not really, the yhm isn’t exactly low back pressure
Will this work on a direct impingement ar 15
Yes
Does it work with HUXWRX mount?
i am not 100% but i think the HUXWRX HUB-QD is their hub compatible mount so that may fit huxwrx muzzle devices
It looks like it's direct thread only
@@Freeman_Gunnerdid you even watch the video? He says it’s has a hub mount as well as a direct thread mount…
@@pineapple999100 I did but I must have missed that part,
Can you make it in AR-9 format?
What if I want to mount it on a Krink?
I like the way you think.
I like 👍
The sad part is that the reason you use Iconel is so you can make the walls thin and light!!! Should be much lighter!

Anyone have experience using it on a bolt gun?
Will this work on a q cherry bomb?
ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-cherrry boommmmb...!
Weight?
way cool
Hey what, this is a copy of the fat cat YHM can, I bought it over the holidays last year.
Y'all look like twins! 😂 would be nice to be able to hide can inside the handguard.
Whats it do that a YHM fatcat doesnt?
Empty your wallet faster.
Flow through, more durable
For your use, probably nothing
I originally wanted Delta P Designs Brevis III for MCX Rattler. This is in a similar vein, but too late and wrong caliber. Guess I'm sticking with Nomad.
This comment is stupid
1400 and 7 months for 3 inches of 3d print...
The perceived value of items you have to pay a tax for causes high prices.
3D printing is the future. They know this and charge more despite the decreased long term cost.
14 ounces is ludicrous, btw...
Hard pass
7 months? I'm over 11 right now
Ummm you also didn't count in the federal atf tax for silencers lol. You know cause gun control!!
3d printed designs can't be done any other way
thick and heavy, just like my ex
Don’t forget loud and shitty
They all ripped-off the Russian Zenitco “Stubby” can🎯
My guy painted an oil can
Jones Timothy Perez Ruth Clark Jennifer
👍👍👍👍👍

Laser Sintered Inconel is expensive. It's why the Fat Cat only uses it for the blast baffle. That's how YHM kept the weight/price down.
@@SevenStarMountain-X7 I’m about to try some yhm stuff

That on a rattler would be stupid short
NFA... Free all suppressor's, what are they doing on a machine gun list anyways

There is a much better way, Keith anderson homemade military grade suppressors.
Lol, "the feed back we got..." the feedback was that the YHM Fat Cat was popular so they tried to copy the design and charge more.
Looks perfect for a home defense gun.
You…vs the guy she tells you not to worry about
A rebranded YHM Fat Cat ?
keep same design and add another 4 inches in length ill be sold for that price.
They actually do have that.
Real missed opportunity. Should be called the
CHODE, K?
This just a more expensive yhm fat cat?
Should be talking flash mitigation first of all…
Take the dip out during the interview...
Okay boomer relax this show is not for children
14 oz without a Mount? Mehhh not impressed
Guys at ptr have a “movie quiet” silencer. Ill pass on this one and opt for a quieter can

YHM guys are thinking it's nice but ours is the cats ass.
400bux and 3oz more than a fat cat... i guess if you really really want lower back pressure, maybe that's worth it?
I think I'd stick with my strela 4 peice flash hider b4 getting something like that 🤔 or the FAT CAT!
this vs cat ass?
I mean, it looks pretty cool and I’m sure it has good performance. But for the $$$ I’ll take my YHM fat cat that it is still in NFA jail 😅
And not user serviceable. Hard pass.
Sooo basically copied the FAT CAT 🐈 SUPPRESSOR by YHM
Great info, looks like a suppressor. How about you take the dip out of your mouth while making a video!!! Good grief!
6 minutes of yapping 10 seconds of shooting. Holy fuck.
