Chilly in a river

Chilly turned 14 this month and having travelled with me through 4 countries, living on a sail boat for 5 years and almost never being left home alone he is one of the calmest and gentlest animals I have ever known. He doesn't usually bark which gave me a surprise when he barked at the other dogs when they joined us for a puppy play date at the river.
Summer is here in Portugal and my host at Villa-amalia.weebly.com has been taking us to the river almost daily to let the dogs swim run and play, the temperature is in the low 30's and I know for sure Chilly loves just walking around in the water and cooling off.
Central Portugal is an amazing place and with spots like this to cool off its a great place to visit.
