To this day it still stays with me and I come back to the same music and dance. I am just a girl from NY with Celtic roots but my spirituality lays with these beautiful people and have no idea why. Much love ❤
Bc the drum is central to both cultures. The Celtic bodhrán is almost exactly like a Native hand drum, same materials only tied in back slightly differently. I think all our spirits instantly recognize the sound like it's in the DNA. That heartbeat, of the earth, is in us, connection to earth. What's most sacred is mutual. Conditions your forebears faced that led to NY is a mutual experience. Language was outlawed & spiritual practices. There's long been a cooperation & understanding between the two cultures. That includes sending money for food in both directions, during the famine, & that remembered during covid for Rez relief. I have both in me & I need powwow & ceilidh music feels almost the same, the drum is the same tones. It centers & grounds us. Dance is prayer. Go to powwow every year. We need that. It's rejuvenating.
Do you realize this dance could be a thousand years old? Thanks for keeping it alive, my brothers of all the original american tribes and nations... We was here 20 thousand years ago... We are not going anywhere! Greetings from Honduras.
the Great Spirit & Pachamama...such enchanting music, people, and dance. From one indigenous person from the South, to our beautiful sisters and brothers in the North, much love 🕊️🌎☮️💖💐🌸🌈✨
I love this and all the others I watch on a regular basis. The clothing and feathers are gorgeous. The dancing is mystical, and there's something haunting and beautiful about the drums.
I just learned that Amazigh people actually have a lot in common with the saami people. Truly interesting to find out. I believe they belong to the same haplogroup.
And there is nothing wrong with this American Indian should embrace their culture no matter what their tribe don't be ashamed. Blessings and peace to all.
We will persevere and we are not one race, where others fall to politics and race we will always fall back as a people stronger than ever. Our way of life will stretch to peace and life to warfare and defense when pushed hard enough.

Idk where in NY you are but there's a powwow not far, & in the north they're summer & fall. You can search NY powwows, or whatever state.
As a grass dancer myself it is an honor to be a Native American

Let us not let technology and modern civilization take this beauty away. Let us not forget our roots
As a Amazigh/Arabic, I respect this, staying true to the culture.

A Real American 💯 👏
Wrong. It's confirmed that Africans or Black people are the indigenous Americans way before an Asian influx. Notice the African culture imitation.

We will persevere and we are not one race, where others fall to politics and race we will always fall back as a people stronger than ever. Our way of life will stretch to peace and life to warfare and defense when pushed hard enough.
In spite of everything those Caucasian beast did to them there will be a day of reckoning for those demons.
