The coolest thing about this video, isn’t the fishing, it isn’t even the amazing transition, the sick drone footage, or the dope graphics…the best part is how we can feel your frustration through the lens. How you swallowed your pride and overcame your obstacles. I’ve said it before, I don’t know how you aren’t yet at one millions subs. Cmon UA-cam, put this guy to the top of everyone’s feed!!!
Fisherman supposedly go through stages. Stage 1 - I just want to catch a fish. Stage 2 - I want to catch a lot of fish Stage 3 - I want to catch a big fish Stage 4 - repeats 1-3 but want to catch fish the way I want to catch fish. I've gone through these steps and had a similar result as you. Congratulations on realizing it and making the sensible decision to change tactics, I haven't always been so smart. Great Vid, I like the longer format with a narrative.
I've painted lures...lots. if you want a thin blue line or red or green ect. Hang it from top and bottom with the back facing you. Paint the base color (belly) then a wide section of the back blue, green ect...then a small stipe of black down the back almost completely covering the blue, green. I used paint cans and ut worked great. Great lure you made by the way.
I always really enjoy your videos, talent and true emotions shine through every aspect of it. And honestly, that was a nice job on crafting a homemade bait for someone who doesn't or hasn't done it a lot. Very nice
I’m taking a class on fish behavior rn, we were going over the neurological pathways in predatory fish that are behind their reactions to different stimuli. Turns out what is explained at 2:35 is EXACTLY what is thought before they eat.
Great video as always! It’s what’s awesome about fishing! You never know what the fish are going to be turned onto. I out fishies my brother one time with a tiny 1” red and white fly and he was using live shrimp. Keep the videos coming!
It's awesome seeing the evaluation of your videos, trust me I love the fishing but damn this video was badass from the drone footage to the gopro and whatever other cameras you were using gave us a really fun view. I'm sure that wasn't easy but thanks for bringing us on the ride... Amazing work!
at 33 years old for me i have learned it comes down to matching the hatch. If the shad are running throw the big baits, if the shrimp are in throw shrimp. match whatever is in and you will have the best outcome.
I really enjoy your videos especially watching you use bait casters which give better control when hooking big fish and accurate casting . In the 1970s I was addicted to Bass fishing the Garacia ambassador 5000 series made in Sweden was the best product for casting spinners and plugs. I still use bait casters for surf fishing here in Florida.
The quality of this video is one of, if not your best so far. The voice over reminds me of the old Walker's Cay Chronicles is uses to watch as a kid. I really appreciate the effort you put into you videos.
I catch the biggest fish on small swim baits and tiny jig heads ( 1/16 and smaller ) and 4-6lb test. The way I see it is the big fish see the small bait as an easy meal that they can’t pass up as easily as a larger bait that could put up a chase.
Love you video's! Goes to show a baitcaster is way more accurate than spinning! People always ask, why do you chose baitcaster over spinning, sure, spinning reels have their place, you know
It's crazy how as fisherman we (selfishly) believe that our personal agenda is what the fish should/will adhere to. Love this video not only for the insanely good editing but also for the message.
I'm going through a similar process at the moment. Started fishing with glides and big baits in saltwater here in the Spanish coast, thus with different results. Each time I used them I hooked fish, either bluefish, European seabass or bonito. As you perceived they are not solely aiming at big fish, small guys will take a 20cm glidebait without thinking about it too much. I have the believe that it makes sense to use them in SW, now in winter, when small baitfish disappear, maybe even with better chances. When I started watching the video I imagined you would have a blast, especially with all the predators available there, so I was surprised with the outcome. Maybe they work better in larger bodies of water, not so skinny. Anyway, the video is way cool ❤
Another great video, lawson! Some screw eyes on that glide bait might hold better. You should try the 6th sense draw 9" Glide Bait out on the flats that would be a sick video!
you have to have the right mindset to use big baits...I've fished 5"+ paddletails next to a buddy throwing a 3" paddletail and he'll get a few dozen fish to my 3 or 4 but those fish are usually bigger than the slot sized reds/trout he'll get...another added benefit is i can outcast a 3" so you can cover more water fishing the flats which will end up leading to more quality fish
Love your content bro and a beautiful family continue doing what you do and continue thanking GOD ad I see you do in this video GOD bless you and your wife and son from 🇯🇲🙏 one love.
Ya can't "will" them to go along ... but you can R&D till ya get tired, then ya go back to the things that work. And you did that... with sweet result!!!! Let's Gooooo!!!! Be Safe
Awesome redfish bro! Killin’ it. Way to go adapting to overcome. Unfortunately as UA-camrs the video doesn’t always go the way we want but still it works out in the end.
Yoooo! I see you finally got your Pompano!! I told you that shrimp jig was the sauce. Btw... This is the big samoan guy you met at the Jetty. I showed you da Thumper Shrimp 🤙
Dangit man you were fishing in my town on a lake here. Whattt that would've been sweet to bump into you out there lol. That lake is very high pressured and it seems all or most the big fish out of there are caught of the ledges and out deep. The canals can produce alot of fish but mostly dinks lol. Alot of better not as known lakes in the area.
Sweet video 🤙🤙🤙 back in the day I made a couple of the AC Plugs here in Cali. It's Kool to fish lures you made yourself 🎣🎣 what rod are you using?? Looks like a Tranx reel? ✌️✌️✌️
you miss so many strikes ripping the hook set to the side. what is that about? fish mouth < jerk to the side and it pulls out. jerk up it sets. sure, the side set works sometimes. the percentage is much lower.
hey bro love the latest video, and wanted to know what kind of boat you we're using . and as fare as the bait don't give up , that bait had some pretty good action . and that bred fish was sweet.
I've been watching you for a long time. I love how you cast & how you get into the vibe of fishing. Absolutely 💯 . But you reached me hard on this video. 😢. My son is going through a difficult time in school. We actually had a meeting . He's not your normal kid. Very intelligent. But, he gets in trouble and suspended. Breaks my heart. Anyways. I love your new vibe of video content. Keep it up. 💪😎🤙
Did anyone else see the lady fish or whatever fish it was @6:58 jump out of the water? It was while he was fighting the little jack, it was probably being chased by a 30” snook lmao
Why not try to learn to 3D print lures? You could print molds and make your own soft plastics or maybe even make hard baits with a printed mold. You can get your design symmetrical too. There's nothing wrong with giving up on something that's not working and tie on another lure.
What do u mean it’s nothing great it’s awesome man it’s something I have Been wanting to get into lure making instead of buying em I’m so done spending all this money on lures
I just cant understand how this guy isnt part of the million sub club hes better than so many UA-camrs out there just so underrated but u will get there lawdawg just keep grinding

Best video you’ve ever produced. Well done sir. Top notch

Love the voice overs for us viewers. Really shows your commitment to engaging the audience and creating the story!
We appreciate all your efforts law dawg
Keep on bringing the content 🙌🏻🙌🏻🥇
Amazing video, really shows the struggles and rewarding aspects that come with fishing! Thank you for the great content 🙏🏼

2:28 one of the funniest lawson moments ever😂😂😂
“Uploaded 26second ago” when I saw it figured I’d leave a comment, been watching for a long time always love to see a new upload from you

I love your videos, it motivates me to get out there more great music in the background
The best part of this video is Lawson’s fish voice!
Impressive work on the lady fish.
2:35 had me dead bro, sometimes it really is like the fish are just super picky. 😂

Looking stealthy Dawg! Love the quality content and sponsorship choices! 👍
Hey Lawson, have you ever thrown bass specific lures for saltwater fish? I'm really wondering about spinnerbaits, senkos, and crankbaits.
I really love these videos that span multiple days even if it means you aren’t super successful. 10/10 content
Another great video, lawson! Some screw eyes on that glide bait might hold better. You should try the 6th sense draw 9" Glide Bait out on the flats that would be a sick video!
6:55 watch the fish go airborne on the back mangroves holy cow
you have to have the right mindset to use big baits...I've fished 5"+ paddletails next to a buddy throwing a 3" paddletail and he'll get a few dozen fish to my 3 or 4 but those fish are usually bigger than the slot sized reds/trout he'll get...another added benefit is i can outcast a 3" so you can cover more water fishing the flats which will end up leading to more quality fish
You’re going to have to stop this whole 2-3 week layoff stuff. We be missing you out here.
But better quality videos!!! 🤩
Ma Dawg!!! Almost a 30 min video! Life is good 😎 oh, and I love you
I caught a 14lber on a tiny Rebel Pop'R a few years ago...

One of if not the best video yet bud.
Very professional video, dude! Nice!
Pompano is a freaking delicacy to me. One of the best eating fish in the world!

Coming to Clearwater in July to chase tarpon with my boy Capt. Zach George and complete my inshore species.
Does anyone know what part of the IRL this is in?
Let’s. Go. Lawson.
Nice lure dude
fyi, your bait that you made runs just like a DRT Klash which is one of the top bass glidebaits on the market.
What a fantastic video!
What size was the TranX?
Find me a more down to earth, better UA-cam fisherman…… I’ll wait….. loved this video
Thumper shrimp!!!
Good stuff. New subscriber. I started a channel and appreciate yours - especially thanking the Lord. Great job bro!
