Titan Submarine: Haunting 'Knocking Sounds' Released For First Time

- Опубліковано 16 вер 2024
- This newly released audio clip offers a haunting glimpse into the search for the lost Titan submarine in June 2023.
The OceanGate submersible vanished after diving 3,500 metres to reach the wreck of the Titanic.
An upcoming documentary recounts the desperate search and rescue mission and includes the chilling recording of knocking sounds, thought by some at the time to have originated from inside the submarine.
The Royal Canadian Air Force provided the audio clip to the documentary makers, marking its first public release.
Suleman Dawood and his billionaire father Shahzada, were among the five people aboard.
Contact with the vessel was lost on June 18 2023, triggering an extensive search effort. On June 22, the search ended, with the U.S. Coast Guard confirming all five onboard were presumed dead due to debris indicating a "catastrophic implosion”.

@@vyneshindenmc6181 Science! Lol. Physics. The KNOWLEDGE that at 13,000 ft, they're lying under over 390 atmospheres of pressure! What happened to common sense? Maybe you're just ignorant, so you've never been taught, therefore I'm not trying to insult you. However, like I said in my comment, at those depths, ANY "leak" would instantly liquefy any biological remains. Do you understand a pressure cooker? If you do, good, now, just imagine a Submersible sized one, multiplying the pressure by a few thousand, and figure it out. To put it in perspective; remember the Boston Marathon bombings? They used pressure cookers which fit in their backpack, and look at that reaction. (Really not trying to pick a fight or argue, I just can't believe people need "sources" for this kinda stuff.) Granted, I've been fortunate in my life, I've experienced a lot. I have well over 500 hours logged diving, I can tell you how bad the effects can be just from one atmosphere of pressure, that's only 33 feet in saltwater, 34 in fresh. You don't need a source, this is all really easy physics. Why not give the benefit of the doubt to the idea they DIDN'T suffer? Why does it (seemingly) look like, you wish they had??

Imagine beeing inside an egg shell sub toy, in pitch black undersea, the pressure..scared to death, panicking i would say, and these 4 calm and cool 'knocking sounds' that have no relation with sos sound, would be from them?? Are you kidding me?
I mean were they that smart to begin with? THEY CONTROLLED THE DANG THING WITH A RIPOFF OF XBOX BLUETOOTH CONTROLLER. Even with a regular controller I heard it wasn’t safe checked so…
For knocking sounds to be heard over 2 miles of ocean pressure, I can't imagine that, possibly even with sonar. The implosion detection seems relatively likely
sound travels about 5x faster underwater and much farther
those air dropped sonars are sensitive but they aren't designed to detect stuff anywhere near the depth it got stuck. Scale is hard to imagine in the ocean
Well, for once, I can't wait until the official reports come out on this loss of life from ntsb USA, who will have all these materials and have recreated what happened in multiple simulations. The titan at least has been retrieved

People might assume that the three millionaires were foolish to engage in something risky, but in reality, they likely understood the dangers, even if only on some level. It's probable that they conducted research before getting involved in such a venture. However, their desire for high returns may have overridden their caution, driving them to take risks to achieve notoriety. Tragically, they achieved headlines but did not live to witness their fame. The "knocking " was nothing to do with the submarine. There was an implosion picked up by many navy vessels at 9.25am, banging sounds could have come from other vessels, a wrench banging in a boiler room or something.

That's probably the bands breaking they've been snapping for quite a bit of dives a disaster waiting to happen.
I assume in this day and age, no one on board knew about the morse code for SOS?

That's what I said last year.

Hull was carbon fiber. I doubt a knock would sound like that. Either way, nothing could be done.
Just imagine their thoughts. As a billionaire he could have built his own sub to a much better standard.
Everyone who went on this sub knew the risks. The teenager should not have been on it, teenager's brains are not developed enough to understand a risk like this. The biggest risk was Oceangate's cavalier attitude towards health and safety. Their cowardice as they tried to remove themselves from the internet as well, such a disgusting, reckless company.
Someone would be better setting up something where an unmanned submersible camera drone goes down to the titanic and the expedition can be viewed in VR from a boat above, so those who want to study the wreck can do so in safety. I know it's not as thrilling, but it's safe, and this is the most important thing. Nobody other than the military should ever be allowed to run manned subs in this area of ocean ever again.
If teenagers can change their gender so they are mature enough to ride on a sub
Another ship definitely played a fun prank to create enthusiasm for the search
0:36 Banging
For being so intelligent , Stockton Rush should've at least had a winch attached to that turd.
He had money, he wasnt intelligent.
That winch would have been 3 or 4 kilometres long if they needed to use it from max depth. The sub imploded into very small fragments too so there wouldn't have been anything to winch back up.
@@MrNiceguy3210 Transcripts state they were falling way too fast to depth. Then having a problem dropping ballast and rising back up from depth. A winch may be a tangle hazard but it can lower a sub down and raise it up.
Seriously, a 300 dollar spool of cheap steel cable to winch up and ANY communication system would've prevented this
But nooooo, gotta go minimalist on it.
Or maybe the whole thing is a scam and they faked there deaths. There is a lot of things that don’t make any sense to me about this crap.
they wouldnt have known there was anything wrong and the implosion was so quick that their brains wouldnt have noticed it. The banging was probably the sound of the implosion. The walls and the glass was too thick to even hear high pitch knocking.
Yes, Implosion 15 mili seconds, pain to reach the brain 150 mili seconds. So they did not feel anything. May their souls rest in peace.
I thought it was said the sub may have lost power beforehand.

I don’t think does are knockings. Perhaps it started imploding slowly. Ask yourself would you be knocking when you know your that deep and you know the walls are caving in on you? I wouldn’t, it just doesn’t make sense. Maybe scream or something perhaps.
Nothing imodes slowly. It happens in a fraction of a second
@@Rob-157I don’t think you get the point, if there were any signs an implosion was imminent, nobody would be knocking in the calm way we heard over the audio clip, you would be panicking and screaming! So the knocking sound is just very odd and doesn’t make sense.
