나는 지민이를 만나면 좋겠어요
(으)면 also has a second form ((느)ㄴ)다면
(느)ㄴ다 is only for verbs (plain form) 만난다
다 is for dic forms and plain forms of adj. 싶다면

면 = if
좋겠어 = will be good
Is that right?
I was thinking the same thing. I was internally translating it as, "if , it will be good" to try to get a better feel of the pattern.

Although it looks so much like hypothetical conditional two, seems that Korean
"I wish" has both (un)real usages. English 'I wish' is so so far from realization.
I saw now that 'hope' is also used as translation (hope offers the way out; it's much closer to realization). at 3:02 also at 4:02 Unnie said hope!
...었으면 form also exists. I think I saw some more. Future in Korean can also be expressed in several ways. Nuances are hidden either in words or contexts.
WIsh vs. want are also very diff. You are maybe a native Eng. speaker, thus You feel these differences much better than others, and so does Unnie, which means that only practice reveals all nuances. Also, in E. you can vary tenses in different parts of a sentence (I wish I could...), whereas in K. you get these patterns which carry wanted feeling (since there is only one tense in a sent., I think), and you are left only to adapt English (like You did above) or accept Korean way without translating and start to feel what they feel.
By answering in this way, I myself also tried to get the idea behind!
