- Fox 40 Float FIT RC2 2015 was rebuilt by someone and It stoped work as need. As my experience told me, this FOX is working like half broken ZOOM fork. My customer wants this FOX 40 RC2 will work like new. We will done this job! Let's begin!

Can you just remove the center screw on the low/high compression dial and replace ? I ground mine up in a crash, thought there could be oil or pressure behind cap if not bled first ?
Ryan, i think you can change screw. There is no oil pressure, but you can let air inside and your fork will work not as good as it was.
what about a stiff compression and stiff hs adjusta are they linked or 2 seperate issues?and could installing a clamp on the lowers reduce the sensativity on the compression?
They are two parts of tha same system and assebmled as one module. I can't say 100% but they can affect each other if oil is dirty or there no oil at all. Some people can ride without oil and say that all work great.
I must bleed float when I do only lower leg service? (Float damping works good I only want to change oil in lower leg

Hello. The first thing you need to do is to check sizes of frame mount bushing and shaft bushing. If they equal, you can install it. For remove and install you need a special tool which i show in video about bushings.

so no new seals then just a clean.thats what i was thinking.my uppers are pretty clean
Everytime you change oil, the best thing is to clean all parts even if it's "clean"
so thats for the oil in the lowers to oil the uppers and seals
If i get it right, so yes. Thick oil is for lubing bushings between upper and lower legs.

I would suggest you to use synthetic oil in high performance forks.

As you watch closely to video preview you can read that it is float.

As i know float or van or whatever is spring types. But cartridge is RC2 and other. I don't know which is available now.

Привет , я бы был безумно вам благодарен , если подскажите , у меня Rock shox RL (Debon air) , первая проблема была - пропажа блокировки , отскок работал , далее ездил зимой и у меня резко на какой то яме уменьшился ход в 2 раза , спускаю воздух ещё меньше ход становится , такого по идее быть не должно , в чем может быть проблема ? На днях хочу разобрать , это проблема в бачке демпфера или же нет? Может знаете в чем может быть проблема . До этого амортизаторы не разбирал , поэтому не понимаю в их конструкции
Привет, Арсен. На штоке вашего амортизатора нет видимой выработки? Если от удара в мороз вдруг ход уменьшился и при спускании давления он уменьшается ещё, значит просто пробило сальник и давление воздуха сбросилось через него. Если вдруг пропала блокировка, то это скорее всего попал воздух попал в масло. Амортизатор при работе издаёт шипящие звуки? Если на отскоке громко шипит, скорее всего попал воздух. непосредственно в бачке быть проблемы не может, т.к. амортизатор это цельный механизм. Там вся масляная система взаимосвязана. У меня есть Monarch RL если не ошибаюсь, но нет времени собрать его.
@@AXRV88 масло журчало при работе , да , как купил работал тихо , на штоке ничего нету , амортизатор в состоянии нового , не мог выйти воздух с демпфера? Если его что то сжимает (уменьшает ход)

Yes, you can. But it will increase sensitivity of your fork and make it softer. Compression power will also decrease.

Can I use Fox 20w for the cartridge?
No, you can't. 20w is too fat for cartridge.
@@AXRV88 the float oil is 10wt correct? I have a SurRon so I'd like stronger damping. What would happen if I used 20wt?
WIth 20w oil your fork will be too harsh. If you want super strong damping, you can use your oil. I have never work with fox fluids.

Я не могу заочно сказать в чем конкретно проблема. Если бы я мог его протестировать, можно было бы понять. Проще посмотреть видео как устроен похожий амортизатор ua-cam.com/video/XeUjrKeEg0c/v-deo.html . Ремонт недостаточного хода, опять же в какую сторону? Амортизатор стал в два раза короче или он на половину хода срабатывает? Информации минимум.

Арсен, ход уменьшается в двух случаях. Либо у вас пробило сальник и масло вытекло с полость амортизатора и блокирует его срабатывание. Либо упало давление в воздушной пружине.

Nothing will break. Only oil leaks. Than heavier oil than better.

No difference, just dirt and increased worn of stanchions.
