Hi Stacey, I can understand how you feel. This song was playing in the taxi on the way home from the hospital after my mum died in circumstances none of us were expecting. Years later I heard it and burst into tears and was taken back to that stunned taxi ride from the hospital that seemed so unreal and at the time I was too shocked to feel any emotions. Now every time I hear this song it brings floods of tears. You will always have this song to bring you and your brother back together and it will be painful but you loved him and you always will. My condolences for your loss and my prayers are with you. They live in our hearts forever.
These comments are so heartwarming but sad at the same time, because this song is either in someone’s weddings, a late loved one really enjoyed this song, lyrics and describing how awesome this song is. I’m sorry to the people who lost loved ones and god bless you!!🥹🥹🫶🫶

My mum loved this song and it was the second song played during her funeral last week to brighten up such a sad day..and im sure she'll be jigging around in kingston town now💔
This must be the most unique song in the history of popular music. How can the summation of retrospective and prospective movement that carries such imbalance manifest in such beautiful harmony.

I am just hearing this song for the first time, and it sounds so clean and innocent when compared to what is being called (dancehall music). I do not know how long it's been around and I do not recall hearing the name of the band, but I have played it repeatedly. It's refreshing to hear ❤️🥂🍾💯🇯🇲

This song was written by and first sung by Kentrick Patrick p/k/a Lord Creator after migrating from Trinidad to Jamaica from way back in the late 60's when he was recording for Randy's Records in Kingston Jamaica. He told me that when UB40 re-recorded this song his life changed when he received his writer's royalty six figure check from his publisjher for the song.He said his writer's royalty payment for this song alone surpassed all the royalty payments for all the songs he ever recorded in his life all put together. He said this was the first time he was able to purchase a decent house in Montego Bay Jamaica to live comfortable with his family for the rest of his life. This is a reminder to all entertainers and recording artists to do the paper work and register all the songs they wrote in their career as you never know what can happen in the future with your songs, this is a great example take heed.
