    I’m ambidextrous and like to play against myself left handed vs right handed for pitch & putt. Same approach as you .. one wedge, partial swings.
    White ball for right. Yellow for left. Alternate tee shots.

    Great video as usual. There is only 1 6 hole par 3 course to my knowledge anywhere near me, but it's a great place to practice within 100 yards. I'm not great but I'm getting better and can shoot close to par if I'm on my game on the par 3 course. On a full length course, I have yet to break 100, so my short game is better than my long game.

    With those thousands of rounds, I’m curious how many hole in ones you’ve had at pitch & putt. Also curious your thoughts on a pitch & putt hole in one versus regulation course (or maybe distance is the main factor). Had my first hole in one ever the other day but it was “only” 46 yards at pitch & putt … which is exciting but not a very long hole.

    Adam, compliments to you for showing Dan repairing pitch marks on one of the greens. It only added a couple of seconds to the video, but it is important to show that your job is to insure the golf course is in as good or better shape when you finish your round.
    Thanks for sharing this video - another interesting look at what makes a good golfer is not necessarily a perfect swing.

      Hm. Difficult to answer. I don't think pitching it "close" is necessary - just GIOTG is the goal. Lag putting is a huge score shaver. But being able to get the ball started on your intended line is also huge.

There are also a couple in Burnaby: Central Park which is very nice and Kensington which I've never played.

    I'm gonna disagree with you on not aiming at pins on par 3s. As amateurs, we only have so many chances at a ace. So ALWAYS go for the ace. Very worst case scenario, you lose a ball and 3 putt for a double or triple...but if you don't go for aces on every par 3 you ever play, you may never get one (Ive been playing golf for 25+ years and don't have one, and my hdcp today is a 2)

    • @NotAScratchGolfer
      @NotAScratchGolfer  Рік тому +2

      If your goal is to get an ace at any expense, then sure. If your goal is to shoot lower scores, I think this is a bad mindset.

      @@NotAScratchGolfer correct. But can still bogey even if you go in the water off the tee. Same thing mindset I have on par 5s. Even if I try to clear something, or cut a corner marked red and don't make the shot...I can still par. So taking the risk of an eagle at best, bogey at worst (unless you 5 putt like I did today on the first hole, lol)

When I pointed out what the name meant in the comments he took offense for some reason and started personally engaging with me in a very passive-aggressive, unprofessional way. It was really surprising for a semi-big UA-camr to be so petty for really no reason and I obviously unsubbed and don’t watch his vids anymore.
