Are you thinking about lowering your C8 Z06? Paragon Performance Parts: www.paragonperf.com/Paragon-Performance-C8-Corvette-Z06-Lowering-Springs-by-Hyperco_p_879.html
An inch really makes the difference, tightens that wheel gap, the increased performance is great, but aesthetically you can’t go wrong. My vote is lower your Corvette’s.
Great job on the video Mike! The car looks great and I agree the lowered suspension still rides smoothly. Track mode is a lil stiff but will want every bit of that on the race track. Cheers!
Great video, explanation and ride along in the different modes! The stance is going to look great with the lowering & wheels. Thank you for your A+ Review!
I have a 2021 C8 convertible with front lift. I had it lower about 3/4 inch and used the paragon collars in the front due to the lift. First - If you dont have the front lift, then I would not recommend lowering as you will scrape. With the front lift I do not have any problems. However, recently I noticed a faint crunching noise if I go over small uneven areas on a road (that most people would not even give a second thought to). Usually this is around 40-45 mph. I have 14k miles. Dealer wont do anything since I had it lower. Performance wise, I have not noticed anything and with the radio on I usually dont hear it.... but its there. So this is something to consider. I will prob do again... so no regrets.
Looks great! However, living in Pittsburgh with the steep hills and bad roads, I unfortunately need every inch of ground clearance I can. My mag ride and front lift are almost mandatory here.
Mike. Would you be concerned about a lowering kit on a Z06 that has the aero? ( i am assuming the dive plane would be another inch closer to the pavement)
Hi, I will agree that most cars and trucks look better lowered ( I have done a couple myself). However I would never do it again, I prefer the ride quality,as the ride quality suffers significantly from lowering. So if you don’t mind swapping ride quality for looks, then go ahead and lower your car, but I will never do it again. I have purchased several different products Paragon and everything is hi quality and I would recommend them for your aftermarket parts.
I think you would feel differently if you used the Paragon lowering solutions, honestly I’ve had two c8’s and not a noticeable difference in ride quality. I would agree if you don’t have mag ride it will be more noticeable, with mag ride it’s smooth as OEM.
@@nrdemon1031 Hi, probably the mag ride helps in that instance, however it only stand to reason, that you are not using as much shock travel as stock, therefore common sense says ride quality is going to suffer. No doubt than Paragon has the best supension set up( if that’s what you want) , but again not for me. Thanks
Can't see you're face but I'm betting you're smiling from ear to ear. You sure have to be carefull, its no fun driving a car that's too stiff. Congrats Dad!!
I’ve got a 23 Z06 I ordered the collars and the springs my car has the front lift system in your opinion Is it too low to do both the collars and the springs for a full one and a half inch lower? The shop where I’m getting the work done has recommended not doing the collars and the manual lower but just the springs.
Sick man.. honestly needs to be lowered more.. close that wheel well gap. My AMG GT has air suspension, and it can be raised on a whim. But if ur going static in that monster, go LOWER, u also have that front lift. 👍👍
Fun fact, non front lift vehicles have a factory adjustalbe coilover allowing for a 3/4 in drop from the factory as Gm understands a proper performance set up requires the vehicle to be lowered & not sitting like a moster truck :)
I had an issue and dealer wont look at it since it was lowered. Coils were tightened in the back and put paragon collars in the front (since I have the lift system).
Looks aren't everything. GM spends millions of dollars on research to come up with the proper specs for a performance vehicle like the ZO6. No need to make any modifications. It's great the way it is.

OMG black Z06... GORGEOUS
It sure is 😍

I agree. To me, it’s a no brainer. 👍

Gotta change suspension settings AFTER LOWERING CAR
Great job on the video Mike! The car looks great and I agree the lowered suspension still rides smoothly. Track mode is a lil stiff but will want every bit of that on the race track. Cheers!
Thank you Rob and thanks again for letting me take your new beast out for this content! Heck yeah, you’ll love it at the track for sure! 💪🏁

Thank you, I’m happy you enjoyed it. You are very welcome 😊👍
Does it need to be aligned after the spring installation?
@@JohnQ-i4t Yes, we would recommend it.

Lowering collars plus the 3/8 shim fixes this. My wheel gap is only like 1/2 inch now with the stock wheels.

I hear ya, some people won’t be able to lower theirs.
Yeah I'm in South Hills with 2024 Z06 and most likely won't lower it..👍
I need to lower mine too. Mike, you are always getting hassled by the man 😂😂😂
lol, I know, blows my mind. 😂
Mike. Would you be concerned about a lowering kit on a Z06 that has the aero? ( i am assuming the dive plane would be another inch closer to the pavement)
No, I wouldn’t, especially if you have the front lift.
where is that radar power connected?
Car looks Really aggression Thanks for the video take care
Heck yeah, you’re welcome!
Congrats on being a new dad
Thank you 😊
I didn’t know he was getting wheels, that’s going to be a stunner with the Forgedlite wheels.
Heck yeah, I can’t wait to see it with those on!
Looks awesome. Thanks Mike for all the great reviews
You’re welcome 😊

So if you lower it and need service work done and you put it back to stock would the dealer know it was altered at some time?
I don’t think so, springs should not cause any issues.
Paragon springs on mine!! 100% satisfaction. 💪🏽
We're glad you're enjoying our product!

Heck yeah man! The Bandido is perfect! 😍
I did the springs and it's real low. He must have the front lift up? My tires are up in the fenders in the front and rub when I turn sharp
What is the MagRide calibration procedure after lowering it?

Was that Carbon flash metallic or Black??
Carbon Flash Metallic

Nice, same Color as my E-Ray I have coming
@@paullemmons6732 it’s a great color.
less TQ then C8Z51
Don't you think of GM wanted the vehicle to be an inch lower. They would have made it an inch lower.

@@koreypayne9610 Truth, and if you use the lowering springs you can really dial it in.
My concern would warranty be void if you had a suspension issue. I would imagine with Z07 package ride would be rough.
If you have the Z07 package these springs would only be 11% stiffer which a solid improvement for the track but hardly noticeable on the street.

@@dlverretthat’s why haven’t done it . What if you put it back to stock will they work on it ?
Def mention that they aren't just springs, they are Hyperco springs. Best you can get.
Is this Carbon Flash Black?
lowered my ride height on the C8. Bottoms out a lot more. Looks better but ride is worse.
great answered all my questions
Does lowering the car kill the warranty ?
Springs absolutely do affect the ride..
This car is full Knight Rider inside lol!
Heck yeah! 👍
whose car is that ?
Why didn’t you lower it ON THE STOCK SPRINGS ?!
All Corvettes need to be lowered so they don’t look like 4x4 trucks…wheel gap is ugly!
Agree 💯
This person gets it ^^^
Looks too bumpy 😮
Perhaps I am the stupid one, but lowering a car that needs hydraulic lift to clear uneven pavement and curbs makes zero sense to me.
looks too bumpy imo and the wheel setup still doesn’t look right

GM is making the car for the street, we're making parts for the track where the car is meant to be driven :)

you gonna buy a Z06 NOW ??
