  • FALLEN SANCTURARY LYRICS:
    Empathy, what does it take?
    Atrocity in its wake
There is a burning skyline, and a fallen sanctuary
Only emptiness in the arms of the apothecary
Empathy, what does it take? Atrocity in its wake
Look into the cold eyes of a shattered mirror
A stolen dream to hold in your heart
A link in a chain broken apart
    A loss beyond reason
    Hatred suffocation
After the rain how is your conscience clean
What does it take? Hold it to your face
BREATHE/RUST (Nath Stevens - Guitar / Vocals, Rich Thomas - Vocals, Matt Wise - Drums, Neil Sutherland - Bass) are a blackened hardcore band from Bristol, UK. Described as “pure adrenaline in sonic form” with “ruthless oncoming freight train energy”, and “the perfect blend of violence and groove”
With influences from Converge, Trap Them and mid-2000s euro-crust, BREATHE/RUST blend metallic hardcore with a blackened edge, built around abrasive riffs, frenetic drumming and raging vocals. Lyrical themes explore the complexities of humanities role in ecological and social decline, combined with a message of the belief in the transformative power of individual actions.
BREATHE/RUST have released two EPs - 2023’s “Wherever there is man…” and “… there is Hell” in 2024. The band have supported the likes of Svalbard and Underdark and have made a strong impression through raw and intense live performances. Inherently DIY in spirit, the band are equally focussed on creating an oppressive atmosphere whilst performing, whilst hopefully creating a space where people can come together, find temporary solidarity in a bleak world, and channel collective energy.
