He HAS to win the Cy Young this year. There are a handful of other brilliant pitchers in the NL, but deGrom IS the best of the lot this year.

Jacob deGrom is absolutely the best pitcher in MLB right now. He absolutely deserves the NL Cy Young Award. If he doesn't win, that just proves that award votes are based mainly on popularity. If you don't believe he should win, go look at Clayton Kershaw's 2014 Cy Young campaign and compare that year with deGrom's year. If anyone wants to argue, I will happily do so.

Too bad his team doesn’t help him out. That’s why when comparing pitchers for Cy Young; wins shouldn’t matter. Whip, ERA, and Strikeouts are what matter.. Degrom is a nasty pitcher who should have at least three cy young’s by now but his team doesn’t help him win

Heavy Jay Yes, he does this practically every outing. I would assume you don’t watch much baseball however, DeGrom has the lowest ERA in baseball right now but is 8-8 on the season. So that’s probably why you’re not too familiar with him. Also, the reason for him being 8-8 is because the Mets have the worst offense in baseball.
