@@patriciatolliver4057 Yeah, for us!!! I have loved coloring my entire life and still do ALOT with my Grandkids. I am heading to 60 in a few months, and for the first time in my life, a little bit feeling the number 60. Not sure why, although it did challenge me to learn UA-cam 3 months ago and why I started this channel. So that is a good thing, I figured it is time I learn this. My second goal by 60 (In August) was to create a beginner's online course, still trying to figure that out. I hope I can at least get a good start toward it. I'm happy to have you here with me, and Happy painting, my artist friend!

I LOVE these paints. I've been using these for 5 years. I started with them at first, then started slowly buying Daniel Smith tubes, but I still use these along with Daniel Smith.

I read that some of the colors from this brand are fugitive and fade when exposed to light. I'm curious to know if your 5 year's od paintings did lose colors? Thanks
These were my first watercolours. I still love them. There’s a great selection of colours in the palette and now I use them as my travel palette.

Not chalky, grainy, rich and creamy just like the higher end brand Paul Ruben’s which I also have.

I love playing and making some very bright leaves and flowers! I don't know if you would like them, but I thought I'd mention them to you! 🫶
@@love2create62 Yes, I have four of their palettes, and I noticed the iridescent are beautiful and fun. However, any time I have purchased iridescent, they do not flow like standard pigment, so I rarely use them~ I love playing with vibrant colors too! Especially florals. Thank you!

Hi Reeflections Good question, I emailed to get confirmation on that. Everything I could see states all Colors are of high lightfastness aside from 3 or 4, in the reds and purples. But nothing confirmed the exact rating.
I will tell you they are not chalky or grainy, and very vibrant. The blues and reds are somewhat challenging to lift if you lift a lot in your work.
For me when I was paintjng commissions and boutique work I always used WN and sprayed my work, just to be sure there wouldn’t be a lot of fading. And the obvious not hanging in the sun.
I’ll wait for their reply and report back!

@@Reeflections Good morning~ They replied that the lightfastness is on the back of the box, although upon looking, it is not in English. lol. With that being said, I did read reviews, such by The Frugal Crafter (Lyndsey) and others, and all said the same, that the lightfastness was excellent aside from the few colors which seemed to fade when exposed to the sun. They were the colors reds, violets.. I hope this helps. If I was selling my work, I would probably go more with a W, DS, or even the Paul Ruben line.

If you run out of a color do they have replacements or do you need to buy a whole new pallet?
HIiAnn, Great Question! im not seeing where they offer individual refills, I would say the answer is a no, although I did email for us! I would probably fill it with my own paint from a tube. Ill keep you posted as to what they say!
Mei Lang is owned by the same folks who do Paul Rubens professional so you might could just refill with one of their tubes :)
