Should of included the Sovol SV06 in your printer recommendations

The Sovol is capable and beginner friendly, all while being in the sub $300 price range. The Neptune 3 pro has similar characteristics at a similar price range. The reason I did not include the Sovol SV06 was because it came down to the needs of the beginner specifically. A beginner needs a printer that is easy to start with out of the box, an affordable price point, logistical support (warranty, good help desk, etc.) in case of problems, and a fairly low complexity device (though it may not matter if the reliability is very high). The Neptune 3 pro has an edge in terms of logistical support and lower complexity components. The Sovol does have an interesting planetary gear box (I've worked with these gearboxes, and they are a pain to grease when needed), but that may be too complex for the use case of printing beginner parts. The Neptune 3 pro has a basic heatbreak, while the Sovol has a bimetallic one. I have upgraded my heatbreak on my Ender 3 pro to a bimetallic one, and it is great! Though, most of the time, beginners would not need to print in polycarbonate for example. The Sovol IS a great option, don't get me wrong on that part. I'm going to be honest and say that I wanted a nice number of printers to present (3) and not 4, which would've made the video a tad long. I had to choose between the two. Sorry for the long essay, but that was my reasoning :P.

Totally get you, I live in the uk so got a bit confused with the prices lol, I thought the Neptune 3 pro was alot more expensive than the SV06 but it really isnt and has some good quality of life upgrades like a filament run out sensor.@@TheTinkeringTechie

There is a movement about that called "RepRap", is focused on designing 3D printers that can be manufactured with 3D printed parts.
Prusa, Voron, The Rook, Rat Rig and The 100 are some examples of 3D printers created with the RepRap phylosophy

A joke that I've probably heard a few times randomly. Now I myself can make the joke a reality thanks to my 3D printer!

Interesting. I feel like I have heard that term before, but never have actually known what it was. Pretty interesting!

@@TheTinkeringTechie Most likely heard the term because RepRap is also a flavor of gcode
