We compare the graphics of Uncharted 4 on PS4 with the graphics of Uncharted 3 on PS3. We tried to capture similar scenes with comparable graphics options. Cutscenes in Uncharted 4 are rendered in real time. One category is missing: Uncharted 4 offers nice screen space reflections, we didn't find a good scene in Uncharted 3 to compare it to Uncharted 4.

Best graphics I have seen in a video game, and just loving everything about it. Great game, maybe the best game of 2016.
It blows my mind thinking about PS3 games when they first came out looking closer to PS2 games, then at the end of PS3 using the same hardware and everything, we having something remarkable like Uncharted 3, The Last of Us etc. Running on 512 MB of RAM. Try doing that on a PC

The issue is in the CPU. Much sRAM in the 7 sPES.

The VRAM allow add or remove graphics. VRAM: Video Ram.
As the PS3 use 256mb to the XDR (Index and other basic issues), just give 256mb of VRAM. Because the CPU and GPU arent connect like in the X360.
So, to fix this problems, the most of first party studios of Sony, used more sPES of CPU Cell. Every sPES give a lot of memory cache. This memory allows do many things (video, sound, data, etc), the only trouble with this memory, its "quickly use", so give awesome graphics like this, but poor performance (drops in the fps under 30).

I never thought a game could have better graphics then uncharted 3 honestly but when seeing uncharted 4 on a tv just makes you wonder what kind of sorcery is this? Well uncharted 4 looks definitely impressive but as the PS4 is pretty weak there are many PC games that are graphicslly better

This video really just goes to show how criminally underrated UC3 was. There's just about as big a discrepancy between UC2 & 3 as there is between 3 & 4. I think the rose tinted glasses obscure that fact for many people though.

There should be a disclaimer that UC3 cut scenes are pre-rendered vs UC4 which are all in real-time.

As always, is good to have an idea about the "differences" with this videos , but there is nothing like having the game running on your console. I'm still amazed. U4 looks oustanding. That being said, the entire trilogy looks amazing too.

There was a few times where I didn't look at the labels, and thought that UC3 was UC4. Both games look fucking incredible.
Our brains are really stupid. I've noticed this trend from early 2000's, there is a new game with cool graphics and everyone is like "wow, look at that water (morrowind for ex.), so realistic." "Oh man, these graphics are amazing, how can you make anything better now?" etc. Then next year some other game comes up with even better one and everyone stunned again and last year games now looks like total garbage. But... but... just a year ago i saw it as total perfection. Year, after year, after year, its the same effect. Brain, are you fucking playing with me?!

I remember my cousin playing uncharted 3 and I was blown away by how real it looks. It hasn’t aged that well in terms of how real it looks but is still a badass game. But uncharted 4 still looks photorealistic to this day. Can’t wait to see tlou 2.
a while ago I played uncharted 3 about a month or so before getting a ps4. so at that point I had seen what the ps4 and xbox one could do threw videos and stuff. But was still really impressed with the level of detail in uncharted 3

Honestly you could have done a much better job choosing certain comparisons on UC4. For instance you compared a swimming sequence on UC3 to a boat sequence on UC4? You could have compared UC4's swimming in chapter 12. Also with the view distance and vegetation, I thought you could have done better finding certain areas for each of those categories. Some of the scenic views in UC4 are breathtaking. There are a few areas in the game where you can literally see giant mountains as far as you can see. Not trying to nitpick but I just find some of the areas you chose for the comparison could have been chosen better.
I believe thatThe soundtrack of uncharted 3 will always be the best.. I had so many chills when i first heard it..

David Alex Battlefront is super fun IMO, but I do think it is somewhat lacking in content. For me, it plenty of content. Order 1886 is just really short, but is still pretty fun. Witcher 3 is just phenomental though. Def best western RPG of 2015, alongside Fallout 4 (best Japanese would be Xenoblade X) This is my opinion

Uncharted 3 is still the most impressive game graphics i have ever seen... Just for playing a little bit the multiplayer free to play it was orgasmic to see that lightning, shadows, vegetation, color palette, motion blur, ambient oclussion(which you can only see in some places...)
but sadly, the game lacks the shadows at lights which golden abyss has, like that shadows gta v has in every spotlight.
I remember playing Uncharted:Drake's Fortune made my jaw drop and now the graphics are 10x better
Wow I recently replayed uncharted 4 and uncharted lost legacy on a 4K QLED UHD 65inch tv and I’m mind blown. Everything even real life looks like shit now..The game is absolutely beautiful in every way. Everything about it is so so so good.
Strange... Uncharted4 looks worse in your video than it actually does, all the compression aside. It's almost like you are missing some of the lighting vfx. Idk.
