In January I had the joy of photographing my favorite landscape and I wanted to save those memories here in this video. I hope you enjoy watching my memories:) Technical things: this video was recorded on my XT4 and iPhone 8. Edited + color graded in Davinci Resolve using my PNW LUTs with a custom powergrade. And the "Super 8" footage is from my new product -- Fake 8 Film Lab.
Loved every minute of the video and have so many favorite photos. 2:22, 2:43, 6:26, 11:01, 11:04, 12:42, 12:47, that entire roll of cinestill, 17:45 are just a few of the faves. So beautiful. Thank you for making this video, dawg
Love oregon, took a trip with my brother up to salem to visit our cousin. Some of my favorite shots i've ever taken. The sense of tranquility up there is everything. About that kiev, were some of those double exposures happy accidents? Been keeping my eyes peeled for one but i;ve read some reports of film advancing issues. Thoughts? You seem to be happy with it lol.
Oregon landscapes are tranquil, that’s the word. I think the only double exposures were from the AE1 but yes they were happy accidents haha. My Kiev 60 has been a treat! Especially cuz you can still buy them pretty much fresh from Arax! It’s been a fun camera for me.
ah wow you're gonna have so much fun!! No need to be nervous!! there are some really great beginner videos out there from guys like willem verbeek and others, check those out!
Just perfect. The vibe, the images, the video and editing, and the music. Best of all, I was hanging out. Actually, not best of all... best of all is that I'm picking up a Kiev 60 tomorrow. A fantastic bird photographer is just giving it to me. So I'm excited and hoping it works as they are a bit on the notorious side. Kievs, not bird photographers. (It's how I found you via a Kiev search.). question: any idea what song is playing starting around 7 minutes as you're loading up the Kiev?
seriously appreciate the kind words scott, sorry for my delay. I'm glad to have you hanging out watching the video! and how are you liking the Kiev so far! I had mine CLA'd recently by Phototronic (Mike) in Kansas, because the shutter curtain was a bit slow at 1/500 of a second. Otherwise he said the camera was in beautiful shape. And after having multiple electronic cameras become paper weights on me I'm comforted that the Kiev is all mechanical and theoretically could always be repaired for that reason! Plus, they're still building new ones at Arax Photo in Kiev.

Sick video man. Thanks for sharing! If you don't mind, whats the name of the song that starts at 10:05?
Thank you dude! That song is by Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors, Coming Home to You.
Buen vídeo
thank you!
This is beautiful!! Where in Oregon is this?
all around the northern coast! I would genuinely recommend just a simple "top 10 oregon coast" search online, it's a beautiful place!
