I’m thrilled about the zero build pit map. I’m a zero build player but I’m decent at building, not box fighting but I often play the pit just to warm up my aim, I’m really excited to see how the zero build pit goes
this video is spot on with what I currently need. Hardly ever had played any creative and feels like I'm ''wasting time'' looting, moving around, seeking out other players etc in battle royale and when i do encounter them... i'm just not really ready. Aim practice will likely improve my game a lot, seeing some of the videos out there i feel like i'd hit maybe 15/20% at most the shots hit from far... thanks :)
Jake- im not sure whether you saw my prev comment on your last video, but if you did, id like to thank you for listening. I watched your whole video through this time. The addition of time stamps and specific gameplay of the topic you are specifically referring to made all the difference. The quality is like night and day. Excellent
Thanks for the tips, very helpful. Nice shout out on the red vs blue, I play that a lot. You're right about player quality there, often times one time is crushing the other and there's always a few tryhards and a bunch of newbies.
Thank you so much. This is exactly what I needed to practice. I am struggling with 2 things primarily, 1. I end up finishing 2nd or 3rd in almost every game, I cannot seem to get a kill on the last person in end game. Don't know why I always due there. 2. I can still not make up my mind on if I should use the pump shotgun or the drum. I keep being indecisive and loosing because of that
the first one could just be because you do not get into enough fights, If you find urself getting nervous or ur aim just screwing up at the end then you need to start fighting more plays so you can get used to fighting. Also generally if you have good aim the pump is going to be better, if you don't have as good aim the drum will be better. but both are good to have.
@@HarpoonSkittlesI agree and to add to what you’re saying I don’t think you should literally play for kill count in a reckless fashion but still look for fights while prioritizing survivability. In other words not playing solely to win but to be active so you’re warmed up for the last fight.
I have severe amblyopia in my left eye and struggle to see/track people at a distance, so I’m usually pretty defenseless in long range fights, even if I manage to see them first. I also get disoriented easily in super close range when there’s a lot going on. Playing around with color blind settings, lowering controller sensitivity, and turning off motion blur seem to help a bit.. but most of my games still revolve around stealth and awareness as I hide around the map following the sounds of gun shots and jumping folks who are already fighting. 🥹
Hang in there and keep working your settings. I wonder if there is a group-maybe on Reddit?- for people with visual issues? If not maybe start one-you’re not alone.
Great work! This is simply the best channel for tactics. I also find the warm up very necessary, especially when I have a crown 👑 going in! I do like the creative bot games before going in too. Thx again @Jake!!
Thanks for the new practice maps! The old ones were pretty outdated and/or dead, especially the Zero build deathmatch maps since Red vs Blue was just a clusterfk smh Do you know if there’s a creative ZB rotation practice map? My biggest problem is doing good rotations and want to practice when to rotate and where to rotate to
I think there are some zero build zone wars maps out there but I think they mostly suffer the fate as the others have a low playercount. I looked at a zero build box fight and realistics map that were both good maps but just werent really played sadly.
When players are shooting your Fortnite character/skin, how can you tell which direction the shots are coming from? Edit: Red vs Blue is team deathmatch, of course the enemy team will gang up on you
I also struggle a lot with that. even if we get the compass/sound they often get to shoot several times before i figure where about they are shooting from.... aka I'm a noob
The thing is , i mainly play duo with a friend of mine and we usualy win our first match, (we dont play creative) and then it just goed downhil from there. We lose more, get less kills until we just die by the first people we see. And idk why
I maybe will towards the end of the season. Videos like that are usually something i do during the times in the game where not much is going on and with a new season the game changes so much that tips and tricks vids i make in the last few days or so of a season are kinda pointless
@EvolveJake thanks for all the excellent content. I'm new to Fortnite and I've heard several content creators suggest using creative to get better at fighting, but when I've tried Red vs Blue or similar maps I get clobbered - like 1 elimination to several dozens of deaths. It's like LeBron James vs a HS basketball player. :) Any suggestions or just keep fighting it out in BR with SBMM? Thanks again for the fantastic videos.
im not jake however, its one of those things that suck but u just need to keep fighting and practice your aim and u should see improvement. but make sure you are behind cover and not in the open that may be the issue that is an easy fix (most of the time)
@@HarpoonSkittles Yeah never stand still or linger out in the open being indecisive. Learned that lesson the hard way. Will keep on battling royale! Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it.

30 mins a day goes a long way! Thanks Jake!
Awesome informative video Jake. Thanks again
Awesome video :) Ill check out the zero build ammer and pit :D
For me, probably my aim in close quarters and with the MK. I lose too many fights to the drum gun in places like buildings or tight areas.
Ggs. Great advice. You are so right that just 10 min a day makes a difference!

@@m_winewood Yes exactly, play so you do not die however if you do don't consider it the end of the world, do not play reckless
Niceee i did not know about the Zero Build Pit... Usually end up on Red VS Blue...
it is a pretty new map! I think it came out within the last 2 weeks
101 building guide series would be nice fr!

I'm sorry about that, man. Playing aggressive is one of the funnest things to do in Fortnite. Hope you find something that helps.

I’m practically blind in my right eye but I got a series s andi it’s incredible!!!!!
GameStop has hipdots for this reason you can put a bright dot on your middle screen so you know where the center is all times
Skill issue
Can you maybe do another Loot pool tier list like you did back in ch4 s1. Nice video anyways man!
@evolvejake can you make a video where you show your favorite skins with an educational piece on why you use the skins that you use.
what???
