The Prince and Princess of Wales have thanked volunteers and operations staff for their work on the late Queen's funeral, which took place in Windsor on Monday.
During the event at Windsor Guildhall, Kate could be heard praising their efforts, saying: "It was extraordinary from the family's perspective but also for members of the public. Everyone was saying when we did the walkabout how special they felt it was to be part of it.".

This is probably the best version of the monarchy Britain has ever had. They're not dictators or tyrants, are relatively frugal, don't really show off, are humble, polite, and down to earth. Compared to their ancestors and other monarchies around the world, they're quite alright.

I live in Sweden. Our Crown princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel are really down to earth. Humble, caring, funny. I like William The Prince of Wales. He's so much like his mother.
I like how the Princess of Wales never talks over her husband. This shows class in public. They help each other as all unions must be.
They are not in public. They are in a very exclusive mansion with posh rich people in the South of England. The days of concerned well off people genuinely helping the poor are gone. They probably went with Florence Nightengale.

Mais là, ils doivent rendre visite aux organisateurs des funérailles de la reine mère et aux élites du royaume. C'est leur rôle, ils ont des obligations de ce genre. Arrêtons de cracher dans la soupe. Comme s'ils n'avaient rien fait pour les gens lambdas comme vous et moi (remarque ironique).
Et puis eux, au moins, pensent aux pauvres au fond dans leurs actions. Même dans leurs actions toutes bêtes comme réutiliser plusieurs fois des vêtements déjà utilisés. Ça ne paraît rien comme ça, mais c'est important. Je suis plutôt pauvre et je sais l'impact qu'a l'attitude économe quand on est soi-même modeste. Eux, ne sont pas pauvres et ils le font (elle, surtout), au mépris du protocole royal, d'ailleurs. Mais ils se fichent de paraître "royaux", même s'ils sont chics, je l'accorde. Mais ils n'achètent pas à tout bout de champ de beaux habits, encore plus resplendissants. C'est économique, car l'impact financier est amoindri. Et c'est très efficace. Bien sûr, leur conscience de la situation ne s'arrête pas là.

Look at the headlines in early 2023 …..he had a GREEN energy investment that did very well for him and immediately thought of helping his people …..I personally received several payments of almost £300 every 6 months or so till prices began to fall on energy…he didn’t have to do that .!!!

The Princess of Wales is so natural and warm. She really talks to people about real issues and responds with real emotions. I love when she asked the staff how they were coping emotionally. We are so lucky to have her.

She had the opportunity to learn from the best, our late Queen Elizabeth II. I remembered my etiquette teacher telling us, the Queen once drank her lemon water for hand washing from the bowl because a guest unknowingly did it. Though I haven't found any source of the truth of this incident, this is what I believe the Queen would do to make her guest at ease.

She truly has. I understand that she is very much loved as "our Kate" by Commonwealth citizens, it's so very touching and heartwarming to witness that cherished and unique depth of UK/Commonwealth culture. Now that she is officially Princess Catherine, will she continue to be called Kate, or is that considered less than respectful? You can tell by their eyes that they're grieving, but they're carrying on with their duty. I give them a lot of credit. They really engage with people too and you can tell they care, they want the focus to be on others, not themselves. Beautiful couple!

O my goodness. When Katherine asked the group how they are doing emotionally I just lost it! These two young adults have such a great heart. I hope they are doing well. It’s been such a tremendously emotional time for them.

They're middle aged but, yes.
This couple is just adorable. Even in their grief and mourning period they came to meet the people who were part of the organisation effort to thank them for their hard work. Even though they are dealing with their own personal grief and the burden of there new responsibilities they made the effort to inject a bit of levity as well. But what I loved the most was when Catherine asks the question "How are you all doing emotionally?" Such genuine caring and empathy! I also loved the body language between William and Catherine. They were at times leaning toward each other to lend support subconsciously I think. No overt PDAs...which is so refreshing. God Bless them and their endeavours. ❤️🇬🇧🇮🇳🇮🇳
Plus they have to deal with the constant cameras wherever they go. I respect their hard work and their composure. The Queen would be proud.

I'm really drawn to Prince William and Princess Catherine. I'm not from the UK and I've never really had much interest in the RF but there's something about them that's very captivating. I wish them every success in their new Wales roles.
This is definitely a lesson we all ought to learn: consider the loss of this couple and listen to how they are amazed that people walked and traveled for HMTQ. And, the Prince and Princess of Wales are so concerned about how everyone else is doing. They really are just a wonderful and fantastic couple. This are the moments when you realize that royalty is a job. For most of us all we have to do is send a thank you card to those who assisted with our loved one’s funeral arrangements. For the royal family, an in person visit is required. It can’t be easy to have to revisit such a sad day so soon.

The ‘Balmoral element’ that wasn’t really expected, has made the people of Scotland INCREDIBLY proud! That our beloved Queen who loved our country so dearly, passed away here, allowed us the HUGE honour of sharing in an incredibly special, poignant event, celebrating the life of Her late Majesty, as she was brought to Edinburgh, en route back to London. I truly believe that The Queen would have been very content to have been among her Scottish people, in her last days. Thank you Ma’am🙏🏼❤️
Aussie here, I was very glad that HMTLQ got to spend her last weeks at Balmoral. She had such a deep love of Scotland and it’s people.
The procession up the Royal Mile was just beautiful.
I heard she was very specific about ‘Operation Unicorn’ almost like she was always planning on being at Balmoral at the end.

I love how they actually listen when people speak. That's an amazing quality an human can have.
Their royal highnesses are so lovely because they really have an ability to talk and listen and be engaged. They dont come off like they are being tortured for having to visit with people as some of the royals do (and I dont mean that meanly because I could NEVER do their job!) and Im always particularly impressed with the Princess of Wales and how you can tell she is truly engaged and not just there to tick a box.

The hardest part is over and now it is time to keep moving forward. I believe all this wonderful distraction from the public is key to keep the queen alive in spirit. I absolutely adore these two. Kate has really grown a lot in confidence, it's been a gradual climb but the change has been quite noticeable in the past 2 years or so. Of course it comes with being part of the firm for so long but I think she's put in the effort too. Really a credit to the monarchy.
Kate and The Queen spent a lot of time together in the last few years...I am sure she learned a lot from Her Majesty.

The Queen's life left very fond memories for them, and they were the lucky ones to be able to interact directly with the extraordinary Queen. It still looks sad but life must go on...Keep the spirit!

I sincerely wish these two the best after the ordeal they’ve been through. It has been a really tough journey but they’ve shown a lot of resilience.

Princess Catherine is the great asset to the monarchy, along with Countess Sophie. She maintains her closeness to her parents and siblings. It shows a caring, kind, and loving family upbringing.

We can learn alot from these two, who are royals, they never take their positions for granted but they are the real definitions of what is it to be a royal- to serve the mankind. Perhaps thats the purpose of monarchy - in our times - to model the best that we can be - with ourselves and with others. Yet being human, none is perfect and great challenges arrive - whether we earned them or not. Their grandmother's example and God's blessing will help and guide them.
This is why Prince William and Princess Catherine of Wales are the future of the monarchy. They show such grace, and really take their time to get to know those in their service to the Monarchy.

Amazing to see them out. They look great and they are so caring. They are giving people memories that last a lifetime. My mom saw Charles in Australia and she always talked about it.

I am American. (Texas) I am such a devoted fan of The Royal Family. These 2 especially and their children! I know The Queen could pass peacefully because I see The Monarch is great hands. Queen Elizabeth did a magnificent job in her role as Queen! The Family may not be a huge Fan of The Crown, but how can one watch and not come away with the greatest respect for Queen Elizabeth? Even if there is poetic license in the series
