Joey, I found you channel on video 85ish of the last series of eBay fix it. And watching every video from there on out I’ve seen you doing something that I’ve barely seen on other channels. Stez, Tronics, Cod3r, etc. And only until recently have I seen them doing this one thing that you have always done. And to be honest seems like the easier, smarter, and more surefire way to ensure a good, proper, and strong connection. And that one thing is tinning the legs on the ports and connectors you’re replacing before wondering them down. I see them typically tin the board, then drop the new port on bare and dry. Followed by them going through pins and adding solder fixing non-connects. Your work, attitude, care for cleanliness and quality, content, and many other things are all…. Lovely Jubbly! Keep up the good work mate. And speaking of Lovely Jubbly. On your next merch run, can you make some shirts, hoodies, or even hats with your saying on them? Maybe your channels JDT circle logo in the center, with words written around the outer edge of the circle. The top of the circle reading “Lets keep it” And the bottom have saying “Lovely Jubbly”
i had a simular issue with a xbox one that i was trying to update from a 500gb drive to a 1tb drive and the new drive kept failing to install, it turned out that the console had the preview version of the os (xbox insider program) on it and i had to go back to the current (non preview) version of the os for the osu1 update to work
Merry christmas everyone, about the Xbox stuck on 77%, sometimes Xbox doesn't like other harddrives and you just have to be lucky you find one that it likes, it doesn't matter if the HD has partitions, if the console says it stinks...then it won't install, i sometime dab into console repair and what did work for me, even if it was only once...was that i installed it on another xbox and just swapped it out to the other one, am not the greatest technician that has ever lift but i hope this helps :P
It can be easier than you think to take from a working board. You're tired after working for 12 hours, and you put a known good board in a donor board pile... Or you have someone clean up your section and don't realize you have good boards and bad boards. And your latest fix gets moved into the donor board section by someone who thinks they're doing you a favor.
Been trying to get into the business, at least as a side hustle at the moment. Fuck me it's nearly impossible doing it in Ireland, most broken consoles come from the UK and with Brexit the charges are fucking ridiculous. I could pay for something from Italy and it would be cheaper than something from the UK. The Brits back at it again! Love your videos btw, been binging an unhealthy amount the past week or so.
Like joey said, "always clean up as you go". I remember in elementary school they made us read a book where a kid was an apprentice and didnt clean up as he went. I forget what he was making (possibly a blacmsith shop) but he burned his hand so bad his fingers were permanently stuck together. Can anyone identify this book? Update: thanks whomever asked this same question on reddit. It was Johny Tremain by Esther Forbes
Great content as always👌, I have the same microscope and was wondering what parts etc you have used to setup the microscope arm and bracket for your one?
Here's a question. Could the install be looking at the hardware near the end and something like the dvdrom or the wifi card be bad? And maybe if you swapped those it would work??
On my Xbox One phat, I had to create the partitions manually as it kept failing at 69%, once I got all the $ partitions correct size for OSU1 it installed like a dream, daughter and I both sat watching Xmas films today on it via Netflix on our 51 inch flatscreen, the Xbox cost £4.99 plus a few quid for the Forza edition shell and front panel and it runs like a champ even tho I prob put the incorrect amount of thermal paste and it was certainly not better than factory but its Xmas so I don't care ;)
Wow, that’s true dedication-uploading on Christmas Day! Wishing you and your family an amazing 2025. Let’s aim to get you to 100K subscribers next year!
My daughters wanted to know if I would have a PS5 for Xmas and I was like "noooo no no no" after watching sooooo many videos on how awful the bloody things are I'd prefer to stick a rabid ferret down me kecks than have a ticking time bomb to self destruction PS5, I got Xbox Ones 4 of 'em (one Forza edition, one OG 1540 black and one Battlefield grey One S and a digital white One S), couple PS3's, PS2 Slim with every PAL release game plus 100 PS1 games that came with it, a Mega Drive 2, a SNES, a very old NES that's been with me since the 80's and a kickooshie gaming PC and my £17 Switch still not done the dock filter replacement on it but runs beautifully in undock mode. The Switch actually was the most expensive item in that list of Xboxery and PS3age, oh I damned well forgot my heavily modded GameCube with the full disc size conversion in misted clear purple and a mod chip plus LED's inside to give it a pleasant glowing effect and it plays full size DVD's and ahem games bought from the Jolly Roger emporium but got a ton of legit games for it so never did put a naughty no no on the machine, I got the case from the awesome Lik-Sang who chucked in a matching misty clear purple controller shell x2 which got LED's but lower voltage ones as not a lot of spare current in a controller.
Hello Joey, would you be able to fix an old graphics card from the 90s? I have one that I think has rust issues and I’m looking for someone who is capable of fixing it.

You showed this repair the other day!

Merry Christmas too, Joey ! And congrats for that extra dopamine shot on the already-worked-on ps5 ;)🎉
Merry Christmas joey
Great video. I hope you are having a very Merry Christmas.

First one, check the connectors for other little boards, WiFi etc. final percentage is system checks
Hi joey. At 1:05 you can see a post code at the top left under your face cam FYI
maybe late but Merry christmas Joey :)
Merry Christmas!
Im only 7 mins in but use Rufus software for clean format
Btw the issue with the xbox one s was the hard drive in the console. For anyone that was interested in it :p have a nice Christmas 🎄
Best part of the day when a jdt vid comes on
You should really get a new pair of gloves
especially when he is touching repeatedly his face with these gloves 🤢
Could possibly be the bios that was the issue in the first place?
Great content as always👌, I have the same microscope and was wondering what parts etc you have used to setup the microscope arm and bracket for your one?
When u tin the port pins try to tin the legs too
CHAMA
Joey you get a good amount of bad apus. So in this case why not take the apu off the "working" xbox and put it on a board with a bad apu?
Put a working drive from another unit it will work
What tooth brushes you use
Hey the xbox may have been set in to insider mode by the previous owner, thats the issue with mine
Completely unable to update using osu1 or any of the others
Here's a question. Could the install be looking at the hardware near the end and something like the dvdrom or the wifi card be bad? And maybe if you swapped those it would work??
Who is Sally ??
Hey joey could it be possible to buy the switch and pay the delivery fee to belgium myself ?
I tryed to contact you on ebay but no luck on that...

Bad chip in the disc drive or wrong disc drive (on the XBox One S)
You say electronic items but it’s only video game systems and peripherals.
Your content from the streams is way to long. I like the other videos way better.
I understand why he does it but I have to agree with you
