I think this game could be more entertaining if all players also worked like the pirate ships. So the players can both fish treasure and steal from the opponents. And make the "cannonball" be something to flick directly, like you mention other games do. Also make the ship hard/harder to topple because of the cannonball dinamic im proposing. Maybe the ships could also be like a roly-poly-toy. And have places where, when a cannonball gets flicked, the pieces can "save themselves" and not flick over... i say this because a) cannonball flicking sounds like an awesome mechanic and b) because even in the "original" version, the treasure seems to fall down too easily. Its awful when you have 4 treasure and are about to win only to get hit and lose everything. There should be a chance that, given *how* the players place the treasure on the boat, that some treasure could be saved. Just my two cents.
I agree... the flag should have been a single piece of wood (just flag shaped). It would have made a cool sound when flicked too.
