Interesting to hear that he seems to struggle with (almost) the same sounds like a german native (f.e. the final r, short i, etc.), maybe also a relict of the (low-)german influence.
From what i’ve learned, and what i know from old Norse(more specifically: Ancient Norwegian) this is the Norse recreation: Einn Tver Þrr Fjórr Fimm Sex Sjö Átta Níu Tíu Takk Fyrír for reading(or should i say Takk Fyrr) because thats the Norse way❤
this is really nice and easy way to widen icelandic vocabulary. learning a new language really needs to start from the basic. hope you can make more helpful and simple vids like this. i still need confidence to speak someday tho. looking forward for more. Takk fyrir.
Takk Fyrir I have been trying to learn Icelandic for a couple hours I have the numbers a couple words and 1 sentence I really hope to fully learn Icelandic I’m going to keep studying this language hopefully I can keep up with it because I am going back to school in Einn week but Takk Fyrir the video really helped me out a lot I hope to learn more of this language
Halló I was wondering why don’t you guys make videos anymore I’d love to hear from you guys and learn more from the both of you I hope you guys do end up making more videos teaching me about this language
En skemmtilegt! Þakka ykkur fyrir! If I could make a suggestion: something that would be really helpful (and that I don't think exists anywhere else on the internet) would be simple exchanges/dialogues with each other. If you wanted to go hog wild, you could add subtitles, but I understand that may be time intensive. At any rate, many thanks!!!
Hey! Thank you for the suggestion, we are working on a few videos for the coming weeks and we will definately use your idea in one of them! Instead of subtitles (cause i dont have any idea how to do that :') ) I could put the text in the description below the video maybe?
The numbers are very similar in Vallemål(a Norwegian dialect), just look at these sentences: "'Er æ fimm hús å fjóra lǿu i dei grenninn." "'Er æ trí gúta, trjå jentu, å trjú bórd, i tréi klassi." "Eg åt eitt sǿtepli å ein abbelsíne." "Det æ tíe viku midjom sommårmål å jónsok." "Åttendi mai nittenfemmåfyr va' an stór'e dag'e i Nòrik."
The first five numbers are conjugated by gender. Ein/ei/eitt, tvei/tvæ/tvau, fire/fjóra/fjògó, fem/fimm(fem is both masculine and feminine). If you're just talking about the numbers 2 and 4, you say tvó and fíre respectively.

Love this! Learning the language and these videos help a lot, since I don't know anything speaking Icelandic in real life haha.
I will hopefully be moving to Iceland in 6 months, and i hope i will be fluent in icelandic one day...far far away in the future :( but i will try :)
So did you moved and if yes,How are u doing?

Oh super icelandic lesson kidds 😃

The grammar also reminds me of Icelandic. Vallemål still has the dative case.
Where is the dude from? Sweden? Göteborg?
Yes, Göteborg :)
He's from Germany
@@Dbutnoneed no
@@allsber i don't know someone mentioned that in the comments above
Oh this language is very close to Swedish language
Could you tell me how to say "0"?
Who's accent is "proper"? I hear two different pronunciations
I (girl) is Icelandic, the guy is Swedish (learning Icelandic), so my pronounciation is the correct one :)
@@allsber thank you, helpful stuff!
Do people still use the masculine/feminine versions?
Yes! Masculine/feminine/neutral depending on the topic subject 🙃
In Swedish 6 is called sex, and same is in Icelandic 😅
Strong vikings!!
