These are tones are killing! Definitely my favorite gain tones I've heard you do. You've had the unicorn rainbow tones for clean nailed for along time. I think this is your voice for gain stuff - well done brother!
@@marsa6 Would you ever consider making a video of what gear/signal chain u use for the recordings? I can make an educated guess going off what I see around you gear wise but it would be cool nonetheless. No worries if you dont want to was just wondering. cheers :D
@ I have described it in detail several times in the past, but things change so making a vid wouldn’t be a very lasting solution. Right now it’s pretty simple: Tyler Classic -> OD100 Cl+ -> Suhr Load -> Rack - UA Apollo -> RedWirez IR3 As for the rack.. if you look up how Bob Bradshaw usually wires things up (there are diagrams available online) you will get a feel for how I do it. That being said, if there is something in particular you want to know you can just ask here and I’ll answer.
@@65sgjunior Thanks! Yeah, I think this is the closest I have come to getting the tone and feels of a real cab + mic. Not the same, but close. Sounds good 🌴👍🏻🤘🏻🎸
I don't have golden ears...but in this mix to me bass sounds deeper, more powerful, the crunch guitars sit nicely in the middle and the lead has good clarity & focus...no idea if that helps in terms of how you recorded this though LOL Sounds superb as always !
@@Burnsonix Haha, thanks. I did what I usually do when it comes to tunes like this, but I always start fresh so it’s never the same. I do mix bass differently in a rock context so there’s that. I swapped out the OX for a Suhr Load and a new IR I found and I like the tone and feel of that more. Pretty happy with that combo in lack of the real thing. Thanks buddy!
@@MarcoRaaphorst Thanks! It’s my OD100 Classic+ into the Suhr Load Box into my Apollo. IR added via RedWirez MixIR3. For the main lead I boost the amp with a Wilson FX Sparkling Blue. Reverb and delay are either from the rack or a plugin. Depends on what’s needed. I like the UA Lexicon verbs. For delay I prefer my PCM70 or Roland SDE3000s, but if it’s tucked in I can get by with whatever. For chorus and pitch FX I refuse to use plugins.. sounds like Temu.
