People coming at the weekend usually from Jakarta just have some refreshment /healing after of his crazy job.. Come with family spent 1-2 night and back to Jakarta / the reguler job. Many spot that its worth to see in puncak ..the country side or rent some Villas enjoy the vibe of puncak adventure explore more deeper..tea plantation hot spring the road the air the view the food the local ... Oncom is made out of fermented soy beans. And it's just a thing in Indonesia to eat meat cooked well done, especially in traditional local cuisine. Thus the tough n dry texture. If they cook it just right, it wouldn't be so bad but some dry beef satay is kinda expected 😅
Lol... Susan its awkward for eating new food without asking how to eat it, that kacang, red color, we called it kacang Mlinjo, wichis bitter flavour in the peanuts kingdom... Usually that Mlinjo will serve for chips, or cook it like that u eat... The chips called kripik mlinjo, or emping mlinjo, or just emping (central java usually called it like that, its taste bitter but addicted to eat it more)... And also that Mlinjo have 2 skins, outer skin is the soft skin, and inside is hard skin, we need to crack the hard skin also, so if u eat it, whole think, wth is going on :v hhhh and maybe you need to try the chips from that Mlinjo... Ok love you guys...

oncom is fermented soy waste after they made tofu, that is sambal oncom (oncom cooked with chili).
oncom is pretty healthy though, lot of fiber, calcium and protein.....the unusual smell in oncom came from fermentation

Oncom is made out of fermented soy beans. And it's just a thing in Indonesia to eat meat cooked well done, especially in traditional local cuisine. Thus the tough n dry texture. If they cook it just right, it wouldn't be so bad but some dry beef satay is kinda expected 😅
Lol... Susan its awkward for eating new food without asking how to eat it, that kacang, red color, we called it kacang Mlinjo, wichis bitter flavour in the peanuts kingdom... Usually that Mlinjo will serve for chips, or cook it like that u eat... The chips called kripik mlinjo, or emping mlinjo, or just emping (central java usually called it like that, its taste bitter but addicted to eat it more)... And also that Mlinjo have 2 skins, outer skin is the soft skin, and inside is hard skin, we need to crack the hard skin also, so if u eat it, whole think, wth is going on :v hhhh and maybe you need to try the chips from that Mlinjo... Ok love you guys...

Suzan, if you want to eat such nice taste of sate Meranggi just go to Purwakarta near Jakarta, the name Sate Meranggi Hj Yetty. That is the original one, Meranggi beef, lamb or chicken you just chose it. And the Ice Kelapa Muda so yummy. Just try it. I think also availabel at U Tube for some review.
visit Tasikmalaya City and try NAsi T.O and Bakso Urat.. it's georgeous taste and also you can go to Galunggung mountain.
