When I first clicked on this, I thought the quality wasn’t too good (for a pilot with a team and budget) but then seeing that it was entirely voice acted and animated by just two people, I realised just how awesome this was, how outstanding and amazing it is. I know how difficult it is animating and voice acting an entire cartoon by yourself so I can truly appreciate all the hard effort you guys must’ve put into this. I know great things are coming your way and this series has loads of potentional, keep up the great work

I love the concept, and how distinct each character is from one another based on dialogue alone! My only two critisims are that the animation sonetimes looks shotty and that it feels like the pilot tried to introduce too many characters at once.
I can't wait to see more episodes and where this story goes!

I'm going to try to do an analysis of each chapter so there are some things I want to point out
The fact that the host really has no idea how to get along with humans is mind-blowing,He really tries but he is not able to understand why they act the way they do, because he cannot empathize and/or does not see it the same way as we do as a "superior" being,Demonstratin with his unempathetic and irrational actions and acting as if nothing happened in the face of the suffering of others (And treating humans on purpose or not as if they were objects, lifting them up and making them float, or when I say about human emotions).
The way they deals with emotions is very realistic, some try to be the voice of reason and others simply collapse when faced with new information that is difficult to digest, full of fear and doubt with a host Which just seems to leave them to their own devices and force them to do something they don't want to do.The way everyone shows their emotions is quite understandable to a certain extent, just excellent work, even insulting the host lol,And an attempted kidnapping as well as violence due to not knowing how to regulate their emotions in such a complex situation.
Now all that remains is to watch the following episodes and discover how each one died and, above all, who the hell host is.

I LOVE THIS
Hmm, okay, I'm gonna be different and not blindly praise this but instead give some honest critique. I think the idea and passion is there for this, but the execution just isn’t, there's a lot of issues with the visuals, audio, and pacing that heavily affect the quality. I hope you give this a proper read, as I'm not doing this to be rude, but to hopefully help out.
I'll start with the animation, which is a bit all over the place. It looks like there are two completely different animation styles here: first there's the really messy puppet animation, with extremely stiff and messy looking assets, constant layering issues, and just the ridiculously stiff movement where everything just uses linear blending with no ease in or out, no anticipation, proper arcs, anything. But then it sometimes changes to hand drawn animation, and it actually looks good. I can only assume there's two different animators for the project with different styles, whicn makes things feel really inconsistent, and the project loses out on not just consistency and quality, but visual identity.
I recommend looking up info on the *12 Principles of Animation* - There's more than enough resources about it here on youtube, the videos by *Alan Becker* and the ones by *New Frame Plus* being especially good. Focus primarily on the principles of timing and spacing, easing, arcs, and solid drawing.
Unfortunately, while the visuals do seem to get better at times, I can't say the same for the audio. I'm guessing you two did the voices entirely yourselves, which hurts things a lot - mostly because I can't understand you. Your thick accent makes you hard to understand, and most of the line reads feel very stiff. Plus, it means there's little variety in voices brtween characters, making them feel indistinct from each other (a problem that comes up later). You should find more professional voice actors, the Casting Call Club website is a good place for that.
The sound effects arent great either, since they mostly consist of stock sounds that both play way too often and are way too loud, even further covering up the character's voices. Find better sound effect libraries and play them a little less often and less loud, too. With all this combined, I can barely make out a single sentence throughout the entire video.
Finally I wanna touch on the story itself. I think its biggest issue is the extremely fast, rushed pacing. It's in the small things, like characters awkwardly cutting each other off when they're speaking (which can be done in a natural, intentional way, but isn't here), or some fast cuts that dont quite let you process what happened - but it's also present in the entire story structure itself. Frankly, by the end of this I didn't care about any of these characters, because I wasn't given enough time to. None of them were introduced properly, in fact I have no clue what any of their names are, their motivations, anything. I can't even tell who the protagonist is supposed to be.
The story here seems super interesting, it feels like a mix of hfjONE and The Amazing Digital Circus with its premise, but with the lacking quality in nearly everything else I'm left with no hook, no reason to care about the story. But I can tell you can do better. I hope you take this all to heart, best of luck to you!

The animation kinda reminds me of total drama but the characters remind of digital circus. And the host kinda reminds me of monokuma from danganronpa. This was one of the best indie projects I seen. I'm looking forward to more and hope this becomes more popular.

I like to do voice acting practice on videos like this sometimes. I'll see if I can voice match a character or come up with a new voice for them. Was able to do it for the side characters, but finding a voice for the main guy was so hard. I could voice match him, but I couldn't think of a good alternate voice. At first glance you'd think to give them a voice that sounds a bit more stereotypically insane, but that doesn't fit. Their color scheme isn't super contrasty and their movements are slow. I found that making the voice choppier rather than slower did add a showmanship quality which pairs well with adding some sophistication, but I don't know how I feel about it. I tried to make the voice sound more childish but it added to much innocence to the voice and it couldn't transition to an uncanny tone very well. I don't feel like I ever pinpointed an alt voice, which is going to bug me for a while. Makes me appreciate how they're initially voiced.

I love the character designs, excited for the next episode! What program did you use for the animation? (Also, is that a Miracle Musical reference in the description?)
I see a lot of potential for this series, though some things would need to be adjusted in my opinion.
The sound effects like people bending or turning their heads, etc, could be lowered down to be a bit faint but still loud enough to be heard, because it feels quite loud
Perspective and character designs are well done with effort, with some clearly indicating some of their personalities, though some could be enhanced with shape theory, though again it is just my personal opinion and the artists could have some personal preferences for it as well (or i somehow missed it)
Colour theory seems to be added in, like the mayor wearing deep blue to indicate authority in her.
Animation wise, it does feel a bit rigid, or possibly that some of the sound effects sound like plastics corrosion or bending, but after learning that this was made by ONLY 2 people ARE INSANE, animation is difficult, and so is tweening, so its no easy task to master it easily, and besides some indie animation's movement and animation improve by every episode (TADC and hazbin hotel ) Isee that you guys have a voice audition going out which incredible and impressive itself, and i hope you findthe suitable VAs:D
The last thing I'd like to mention is that there are A LOT of characters we have been introduced to in this pilot, which is almost the half amount of characters we have seen here, which all have their interesting personalities and characteristics, and that is clearly projected in the video even by a few seconds. However, as every cloud has a silver lining, it personally felt like we were jumping in between characters, and so frequently and everything was happening so fast, and I'd like to learn more about these characters at a pace that i can absorb the information about them more thoroughly, so the pacing in between could be lengthened by even a second for a bit slower pacing. Im hoping in future episodes ( if we have a chance for it), mainly focus on a single or group of characters to learn more about them and make us care for them.
This is just coming for a person who watches a lot of video essays of cartoon, and anime writing, psychological impacts on characters, and overanalysis from yt and watches bunch of art and animation tutorials, and tips, and just wanted to suggest some adjustments that could be made to improve for the future.
I AM REALLY HOOKED about this, especially the lil ourple silly guy, so I hope to see more of this in the future!

I think you’ve got a really solid concept on your hands here! Very impressive work and especially for no budget. The backgrounds and character designs look great and the animation is good (with a few minor glitches here and there)
Honestly my biggest complaints are the dialogue, the voice acting (though I can understandably see why there’s maybe only 1 or 2 voice actors, I personally would’ve recommended using the site Casting Call Club to cast before making the episodes, as a lot of really talented voice actors will happily work for free on there) and the audio editing. As for the dialogue, quite a bit of it feels stilted or unnatural, which could also be a symptom of the delivery. I think maybe this series would be better communicated in your native language as the accent can sometimes make it hard to understand what the characters are saying. Though I also understand that having the series be in English lends to a larger audience.
As someone who has to edit audio quite a bit in the past, UA-cam free sound effects are your best friend. Using more diverse sound effects can lend a lot to a project and make it feel a lot more grounded. At times the audio would repeat or there would be distracting clicking sounds and it’s hard to look past. The music was great however!
In any case good work overall and I encourage you two to continue being passionate and make more!
As a fan of indie animations like these, stuff like (Murder drones, Catching up, Digital circus ect) this is UNDERRATED.

Really liking this show’s premise!
Things you did great!:
====================
1. The character designs are very fun, and for a show with a LOT of recurring characters, we still manage to remember Eddie because of his impactful introduction.
2. The jokes and character interactions are much better than I expected, I laughed several times, and some characters started to become my favorites (emo boy Boris + astrophysicist lady Leslie is not a character dynamic I thought I’d like so much).
3. The show’s premise is distinctive, you can see where it got its inspiration (shows like Gravity falls and Digital Circus), but it still very much has its own flavor, very nice.
4. There are several shots where the animation is wonderful, and adds a lot to a scene, specifically- 8:44, 8:53, and 6:05 (basically just this entire scene, the way Boris and Leslie come to grips and agree to work together is nicely written).
5. The artstyle you went with is very appealing, and the characters work well using it, quick character movements with rubbery limbs are a prime example of your characters working with the artstyle.
Places for improvement:

1. The voice acting is a bit difficult to understand at times, whether this is because you’re not practiced voice actors or English isn’t your first language is more than understandable. However, it would be easier to keep up with the action and jokes, in future, if the voices were clearer.
2. There are times in animation where having a character be in a different place than the viewer was shown previously makes sense, but other times it can be more confusing than helpful, which a lot of what I’m seeing here. I’ll call out - 4:56 (Eddie teleports), 8:10 (when did that crowd get there?), and 8:15 (Amira kind of just appears out of nowhere), which show times when a character teleports several feet instantly, or just appears somewhere they hadn’t been in a previous shot.
3. Additionally, there are shots where the scaling (the size of characters or props from shot to shot) aren’t consistent, and that can take a viewer out of a story very easily, this happens the most when everyone gets put on the pillars by host. We get the idea that the pillars are very tall and big, but shots like 6:12 + 6:27 show the contestants shifting much bigger (or smaller) in comparison to the pillars than they were previously.
Don’t worry, plenty of this (especially the animation notes) will come naturally as you animate more, but focusing on them now will give you a head start towards improvement. Furthermore, you might’ve noticed there were more things you did well than needed to be improved upon, celebrate that. This is a wonderful first showing for a pilot, and one with such a limited team too, take a moment to pat yourselves on the back. I can’t wait to see what you do next! ❤
