- On December 8, 2018 at Briarwood Mall in Ann Arbor, MI, shoppers unexpectedly began to sing "Lida Rose/Will I Ever Tell You." (Women singers from the "Voices in Harmony" chorus in Ypsilanti, Mi. Men singers from the "Floral City Harmonizers" in Monroe, MI and the "Huron Valley Harmonizers" in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, MI). Barbershop rules!
My father used to walk around singing this when I was a kid, back in the 1960's.
I might have cried had I been there that day. Miss ya, Dad.
BRAVO Voices in Harmony and Floral City Harmonizers ! This brought tears to my eyes. You brought an oasis of beauty into the surrounding din. Really this was magical and very lovely. One can't go wrong with Meredith Willson. I can still wonder at America's infinite variety and this little miracle is so reassuring and soothing with a voting date just a month away. Three cheers for Michigan.
Made me cry.
I just came upon this on November 2nd,2022. Brought a tear to my eyes. My Dad,Hall of Fame Tenor Johnny Wearing would have shown up if he could. It sounded so good to me. Gods Blessing to all of you.
I just looked up and read about the tributes to your father in 2017. A true barbershopper and hero.
Wonderful! Music is an international language, one of beauty and interconnectedness. Bravo! The world needs much more of this.
i wish i was there for that, i would have joined in. i have tie to those songs from the music man from my mom and dad. it's beautiful and i'm in tears. thank you.
What a wonderful coming together of the community. Great coordination and very well received.
Music Man lives on! Beautifully performed by all participants! Someday, something like this will happen right in front of me...what a joy to see and hear!
Grinning from ear to ear and tears in my eyes. Wonderful!
I was in Stone Mountain chorus and my mom was in sweet adelines. This song holds a special place in my heart
Sang baritone in Barbershop Chorus and in three different Quartets. Troubadours - Icing and Nuance. Watching this
Flash Mob brought back some many wonderful memories. Know Lida Rose so I joined them singing - love the harmony. Now 94 so I can't hold the notes so I had to give up performance singing with great regrets.
They're so talented!! This is so sweet!! I wish I could have been there to see this and give them a standing ovation!!!
I love seeing a concert in such an everyday setting! You brought music to people who would never think to go to a concert hall. It looks so fun, I would love to participate in something like this someday!!!!!!
🤯😭🥰 I'm crying my eyes out right now❤ this is amazing and incredibly moving, especially in this day and age
Love Lida Rose so much❤
I'm so jealous that I was not there to join in! I first performed in this musical with my father and brothers on a college stage when I was in first grade. That would have been 1970.
So awesome. Nothing better than barbershop!!
Love it. Love the songs, love the idea.
Absolutely made my day. God bless every one of those singers!! Music is the magic of the angels.
This is jsut beautiful! Thank you!
well that just made my day. Thank You for sharing!

That was great!!!
That could put many in a better mood. How nice I wish I were there
Beautiful!!!!!!
It put a huge lump in my throat!!!!
Everytime I see one of these flash mob performances, I cry. I mean really. Why is that?
Right?
In solidarity with me?
It can have a strong emotional effect because it shows the spirit of man joining in real life to express heart, together, which is powerful. :)
From my favorite musical.
I'm from The Netherlands but I wish I had been there
This is amazing!!
Totally awesome. Tip of the hat to everyone involved
Beautiful!

Well done Ann arbor!

Me walking past before the flash mob begins - "why is everyone from the church choir here at the mall? Ah"
Bravo
❤
Beautiful! I just wish the women's voices were a little stronger.
"I hate musicals because they're so unrealistic. No one really does that sort of thing."
