    Thank god for this band having Mackenzie. That melody over such a growly bassline is such a saving grace for this song. Don't get me wrong, I love all that went into this song, but I was afraid of how their future stuff would sound after Andy's departure from the band. For me, she's that final layer that really tops off this band's sound. Much love to her work, as well as the rest of the band

    Brilliant glimpse of what's to come! I really dig this single on the whole, but Mackenzie really owns this track; her playing here is superb. Color me psyched for the new album. Together we rise.

    Keep an open mind with this album. Trust me, everything you love about the Flobots is still there. And if you still feel like you're missing something, go give Andy's band a listen: Bop Skizzum. I'm personally a huge fan of both

    I enjoy the constantly evolving sound of the Flobots. Same basic rap-rock-string base, and from there? Who knows what you'll hear, but you're in for a ride.

    Yep, the circle in the square represents the circle of protestors in the something something market square in Tunasia, during the beginnging of the Arab spring, that's why he has that line "Yalah, Yalah, Allahu Akbar!" it was a common chant of the (mostly Muslim) protestors "fighting against the power" as you put it.

    1) Just because people don't know a song doesn't mean it's good (though in this case they're amazing)

    I'm glad you didn't call it Stop the Apocalypse as it seemed too in your face for the Flobots. Circle in the Square sounds much better.

    I sort of agree. There are better songs (my own favourites are We Are Winning and Rise), but I do still really love Handlebars...
