Like planting them on 20” rows rather than the standard 30 or 36” row spacing? Aside from having to buy a new combine header and buy a planter or converting their current planter to handle 20” rows it can be done. But the cost isn’t worth it. You either run the same seed/ plant population and the plants in the row get spaced back out since you have more rows. Or if you try to push the population up to keep the same plant in the row spacing you limit yield because of plant competition. So the more ears of corn from more plants on the same acre usually comes out as a wash or even lower yield wise due to the lower yield per plant even tho you have more ears.
3 weeks between a rain would be a blessing. Lol here in Kansas we got a whopping 5” of rain in the last 12 months.

If you plant them that close in a line could there be more rows??? What happens with different row spacing?
