Механику показали как собирают, но это не самое важное. В Куке есть тормоз. И если что то происходит он блокируется. Надо подать сжатый воздух, и с тормоза он снимается. Правда это может быть опасно. Представьте себе упадет рука-шарнир, вес робота может быть и под 600кг. А фрезерованные дырки как понял идут как раз на сжатый воздух и провода. Правда не совсем понятно, где энкодеры находятся.

They probably don't sell enough of them, and there is too much R&D involved. Car manufacturer build millions of cars without any change. Different market :)
automation is only possible if you are mass producing... these robots are used in mass production, but they themselves arent needed in large quantities to be automated...hence manual
