The Arcomoto SRK is on 8th gen and is very exciting, but they are still not producing them for public sale. I have been saving for when it does become available.
Adam W, I could not agree more! Daymak sucks, from the moment you set foot in their dealership to the moment you through your Daymak in a dumpster. Would only recommend Daymak to my enemy. Personally, I prefer Emmo. Never had to complain.
As far as scooters go this one is really amazing! And it totally helps you to get away from being a real cyclist. You can just Cruise all day no worries
I'm not going to get rid of my SUV but definitely would use the arcimoto for my daily commute. It's all about context. I'm always going to need something to pull a trailer but I don't pull a trailer daily lol.
I love these vehicles. The faster the better. The price is high but I understand engineering these amazing vehicles is not free. The H2 I like was wondering what the top speed is. Looks so fun I really want to get one. Thanks for sharing your videos are great....
I just purchased my first electric scooter. I love it so much! We need to go to more electric modes of transport, for so many reasons. I boogie around town on my scooter, and I'm full grown by the way, so many other people ask where I got it, when they see me zip around my neighborhood. Companies used to make them just for kids to mess about. Now they're making them more powerful for grown folks. Why burn up gas, and deal with a bunch of tragic to just go down the road a bit, when I can hop on my scooter, and avoid all that? Try it, you'll dig it!
No Adam, a razor 500. Not a bad little scooter. I am building a dog quad cycle (ecycle), in the spring. My husband and the company he works for (a metal fabrication shop), are gonna be helping. I can't wait for spring!!!
I've been watching a fair bit of camping videos as well as your channel. I was wondering if you guys can put together a video for trike campers that are built onto or into the frame of the trike. It could be human powered, battery assist, ICE assist/powered, plug-in hybrid, solar charging, etc. The camper aspect paired with some sort of assisted or complete power train option is fantastic. Especially useful if you have flexible solar or something from Goal Zero or similar briefcase style solar chargers.
The E bike and related hybrids models revolution is here. And just like you said ; every day new versions, designs and. Models emerge. So far it's not So clear what the most popular model will be years from now, though I have my own reserved opinion . But One thing is sure: changes are coming "Fast and furious " and the word : "the E-bike." Will Have to subdivide. Into all kinds of categories....including. What is lawful , and not., as some people will always have the need for more power and speed......
My comment response to the above video: Since you mentioned it in your interview the issue of the machine leaving you wanting a little more power, and I had the thought, I'll just go ahead and mention an idea that would solve the initial complaint, plus introduce a side benefit: Add a rack over the front wheels that would house a small diesel or small 2-stroke gas engine, outfitted with appropriately sized alternator/generator. Engine could serve the dual roles of 1)providing some of the engine-power for a little additional speed or torque, and some for charging the battery(with alternator engaged), or 2)providing speed or torque in spades(with alternator manually disengaged-via switch mounted next to horn button, in order to be able to change its position on the fly).
An under 300 pound trike with a 250 mile plus range with a top speed of 70 mph that can be pedaled at low speed. It should have solar cells an it should be able to be charged at all car charging locations.
On the weped, I noticed some of them have a black box on the front of the standing portion of the device. Is this an extra battery or a more powerful battery? Or is it a place to put something and lock it up? Could you give me a little more information about that please?
The Arcimoto SRK is little more than a go cart for $12.000? I'll jump right on that. All these sound like toys for the elite. Love how they say ONLY $12,000, like it's nothing for the average guy.
The folks making those electric tricycles are out of touch with reality when it comes to pricing. Why buy a fragile electric toy when one can have a real proven EV for less? The local craigslist currently has one 2015 Nissan Leaf EV in excellent condition for under $10K and several more for under $12K. There are several 2012 Leaf for under $6K.
O man you taco bot exciting the that some males the 3 Wheeler got to have I can't ride regular bike with 2 wheels I need a 3 Wheeler I've got a big for you we were show in that I've motorized but that electric 3 will you got is out of this world O man got me kick started lol you'll keep up the good work I'll keep watching take care
Obviously the best thing would for it to be affordable to get a mode of transport like these. Not everyone can ride a bike for 10 miles or splash out anything 1k+ for something you're not sure is fully safe, efficient or durable. If I could pay around £150-£200 for something that could take me on a 20 mile round trip comfortably. I'd say that's the line they need to cross. Replaceable spare batteries are also sweet
So, it turns out that if you've already got a bike, you can get conversion kits. Works out much cheaper. Does require some self assembly. But then again if you want a massive discount, you've gotta put a little effort into it.
Solid state lithium batteries are on the way with double the energy density and astronomical lifespan...welcome to the end of the oil age for close-in transportation and last mile commuter options...not a moment too soon...
The prices for these E Machines are ridiculously absurd to say the least The price will have to be a lot less before you find everyone is able to afford one. Come down to earth on pricing or very few people will not be able to buy them.
Ok, On the road trike the initial outlay is very high at $11,000. But when you figure in how many miles you will ride in a year using a Gas power vehicle at $3.259 per gallon (and the road tax most of us pay per gallon) and then figure how may kilowatts it takes to charge them up daily to do the same miles @ of your local KWh rate (Ours is $0.008 for the first 600 KW's) and in 40,000 miles they almost pay for themself's. I was commuting 82 miles round trip at almost $17 a day or $3850 in gas and 6 oil changes @ $150 ($4,000 ) per year. So yes it will take almost 2.5 years to pay for itself. But then its all just the costs of electricity. I could go the same miles for $1.90 per day. Yepper, not for everyone, YET.
Dave Jen - Nobody is saying electric transportation is bad, but these days one can find a used Nissan Leaf EV for under $6K. The Leaf is a real electric car with air conditioning and heating, navigation, radio, air bags, comfortable seating for 5 people, trunk, etc.
It's clear that batter technology isn't up to snuff, range is still limited and price is too high. You can see, though, that people are really trying to make a go of it, I suppose you could call them the pioneers of EVs, but I still maintain that if we can reach the 500 / 500 mark, that ebikes would totally take off. That's 500 dollars for an ebike with a 500 kilometer range. So many people talking about graphene batteries and capacitor batteries, and we're ' on the edge of a breakthrough ' , but nothing's happened yet. I give it 20 years.
Some of these devices are "accidents waiting to happen" especially when you drive in a public area; public road, beach. Don't fall in the "everything electric is green" trap. Electricity still has to be made, when everybody in the world would go electric then we might need to restart the old coal and oil electricity plants again or build more nuclear plants because it's doubtful if water, solar and wind will supply enough electricity.
Hi everyone! Thanks for watching. Let us know your favorite electric adventure vehicle in the comments below.
I like the Beast D
Daymak has a notoriously bad support. Once you buy one of their devices, that's it, you are on your own. Don't buy Daymak stuff.
Minds Eye Design I like this video
The Arcomoto SRK is on 8th gen and is very exciting, but they are still not producing them for public sale.

That drawing in the sand... PRICELESS.

The first 10 seconds of this vid reminds of “ANTS IN MY EYES JOHNSON” ha

Robert Tromans - I was thinking the same thing, especially when compared with the current prices of used EVs like the Nissan Leaf.

Hello, Check the video description for the links. Thanks for watching!
and uniquely ridiculous prises for those unique machines...
Too much time spent on motion, while limited viewing of actual mechanics.
