I wish my home park had a youtuber as thorough and attentive as you are! Looking forward to all your coverage now that you're vindicated on your findings over the past few months
Thanks for asking all the questions Brendan. Peter says 1k/hour, so hopefully it'll maintain that capacity and I loved how bold he was on only having two trains. I'm also very relieved there were a lot of adjustments to the seats and the no seatbelt which will save minimum 30 seconds alone. Unless the bumper cars get taken out, which I think might be a possibility, I doubt we will see major festivals happening in that area. And I think Grace alread knows the answer to the behind the falls question.
Interesting that they knew about the coaster breaking the world record for inversion for a launch coaster and didn’t boast that on teaser videos or the coaster info website. Seems like a marketing miss. Edit: Commented at the start of the video. So marketing did miss it.
@mxry I think they're being smart about moving the line along as quickly as possible. Having people waiting in line for rides means they're not walking the park, and potentially spending money.
Sooo we got a moving bin system, a single rider line, no seatbelts, and modifications to the trains!! Pretty much confirmed a lot of what I was hoping for. Can’t imagine how crazy the queue lines will be. It also would’ve been fitting if it ran during Winterfest but obviously, rollercoasters can only run in certain conditions. This is great though, very excited for this ride!!
It would be a dream come true for me if Canada's Wonderland converted one of the 2 wooden coasters into a hybrid RMC coaster like what Cedar Point did to Mean Streak which is now called Steal Vengeance...
KD also went through the same process when designing rapterra so the two parks didn't simply swap out attractions at the last minute. Hopefully wonderland won't have another volcano type situation with this new attraction and that the ride will function as intended with minimal downtime when it opens next season.
maybe I missed it but the question to ask is why did they pick premier rides over a company like intamin for a launch coaster... they are so good at them already.
While I'm excited for rhe new coaster and no seatbelts or comfort is a big plus. I still can't get over the decision to go with bins and no lockers. IMO its an accident waiting to happen. Too many people take their phones out on rides now. I see it all rhe time when I'm at the park. It should habe been lockers like Steel Vengeance
Hey! I was just there at Canada’s Wonderland yesterday and I saw the mountain that you were standing in front of with the sign AlpenFury on it and I’m so happy the there will be a fast lane cause I got on a lot of rides yesterday with my fast lane plus to get on a bunch of rides! I can’t wait to ride AlpenFury next year when it opens! Thanks for this! Also, because I have a season pass for all this year, I can’t wait to go to Halloween Haunt!❤
It just hit me: Cedar Fair / Six Flags is a big enough company now that they should consider buying one of the rides manufactures or creating their own company
Really good questions. A lot of integrity shown by pressing him on the capacity. Well done.
Peter is a genius! He designed the overhead bin system on Yukon Striker.
Peter Switzer is one of the best directors of maintenance and construction a park can have 👏👏 he’s amazing honestly
@@TonyKimtheamusementparkfan Facts!
@@TheRandomView you can tell he loves his job and is very knowledgeable 👏👏 Peter Switzer and Grace Peacock are just amazing ~~
wow, I didn't realize that was a homebrew operation. Its world class.
@@robmausser honestly same I thought B&M thought of it lol but Peter really thought outside the box for that

No seatbelts is a huge win for capacity.
I love Amusement Insiders content, it is absolutely fantastic! I cannot wait to ride AlpenFury in 2025!

Oh thank goodness, no comfort collars confirmed.
Thank you so much for bringing actual microphones. All the other UA-camrs have literally unwatchable videos with child audio
Great interview! 👍

Really great interview! Good job Brendon!
10:06 Woo, Single rider line!
10:54 Here's hoping the bin system IS a go after the "consideration".
Nuts. Well I guess I'll have to divorce my wife. 😁

Just started watching but that’s such a W!! I was hoping for that.

Absolutely eye opening. Can't wait to ride it when it opens next year.
Fantastic interview!
I'd sure like to know if they plan on turning on the upper falls again like shown in the animated video

I really appreciate you asking about the return of fire effects to Backlot. That would be so awesome!
Awesome interviews!
The biggest problem with only two trains is that when they require maintenance, then it's 1 train ops.
Wonderland isn’t open year round so heavy maintenance is done in off season
Thanks for the content !
Great interview's Brendan can't wait to ride Alpen furry next year
All I hope is that perhaps each car of the train to be slightly longer. Not signifigantly, but just enough to fix the third row leg guard issue
Why wouldn’t she just say no to the behind the falls walk? They’re totally going to open it!
Oooh demons of the deep sounds sick!!!! 😍
Thanks
Seems like a real gamble not to have a third train available to replace a broken one.
World record 9 inversion launch!!
Steel curtain not a launch coaster and neither is the Smiler
maybe I missed it but the question to ask is why did they pick premier rides over a company like intamin for a launch coaster... they are so good at them already.
Too good!
No comfort collars and no seat belts. Lapbar only!! OMFG!!!
They should do lockers and metal detectors to be certain

If wonderland puts lockers in they need to install metal detectors or people will still bring their phones.
IMO
I’m happy there’s no lockers.
So good
No seatbelts, nice, I have confidence in the ability to hit 1000 riders per hour now.

if the trains have shin guards then this ride is an L
He hinted at modifications to that. Didn't say no to shinguards but said they have a different design to allow guests to slide in and out easier.
those shin guards are always so painful
Is no one a bit concerned about him not saying there will be a fast lane line?
At the end of the video Grace confirms it will have fastlane
@@AmusementInsiders oh good
