Rob, I love that you’re doing these videos and am super excited to see what comes next! I am a songwriter by hobby, meaning I work full time, have a family and try to get some songwriting in here and there; this video really speaks to scheduling or routine, but while I’ve tried sticking to scheduled songwriting I often find my best “inspirational” moments occur when I can’t do anything about it and on the flip side I find some difficulty getting the inspiration when the time comes to work an idea. What would you say or suggest for this scenario?
Hi Chris! Thank you for your kind comments. I would highly suggest a) having a recording device by your side at all times to capture those ideas as they come, and b) finding a co-writer to write with when you have time to write. Collaboration is key to success. Trying to do it on your own is quite difficult! Hope this helps.
This is so great, Rob! I have always wanted to know more about the songwriting process. I have so many questions! I enjoy Rick Beato's channel as well, but I'm really looking forward to hearing your perspective on the music business in Canada, specifically from a songwriter's point of view. Looking forward to seeing more!
Thank you Rob... 😊
What do you think is the current state of CCM these days? Is the music getting better or less popular?
CCM music?
