Great vid. How the pogo compare to other yachts upwind? Just looking at the Pogo 40 S2 but a friend is discouraging - saying they are limited in upwind conditions. I hope he is wrong ….
Well done, looks like quite some fun on that Pogo 12.50 and a crew that knows how to work that boat. But will that 5000 ozzie dollars cover the damage done to the boom? I would not guess so...
Hi Laurens, and thank you! As its a cruiser the boom and spreaders are alloy, only the mast is CF. Thankfully that meant the new boom was indeed covered by the winnings....just! Cheers!
Really great videos and your team are flying....awesome sailing and makes me even more determined to have a Pogo one day. Just one question, do you know if the Pogo 50 is genuinely much faster than the 12.50 or only slightly?
G'day Richard, thanks very much, come visit and we'll drag you out for a sail! Good question on the 50....yes it is quicker, how much I cannot be sure sorry. Pogo seem good at reeling off high averages, even the 30 does this So I am unsure how much more in max speed, but I'm sure it's averages will be a jump. The 12.50 is plenty enough for me though, we haven't yet hit is full potential to date :) Cheers,
@@OSAAUS Many thanks for getting back to me and I agree the 12.50 is plenty enough. Just watched your video again and you guys are really pushing it. Brilliant stuff and keep posting videos as yours really give a feel for the boat at speed. Not planning to visit Aus unfortunately at the moment but if we do do, will repay a sail wilth loads of beer!! Keep p;ushing hard and enjoy your fantastic yacht.
Hi zooknut, sorry for the late reply, I missed your post. No, there are three of us now, another 12.50 and a new 36. And yes, the 30 is an awesome little boat to sail, just as much fun as the 12.50. Cheers.
I sailed and racied sailboat for almost sixty five years, one design, IOR, MORC, PHRF, R boats, and never ever once received money for winning. Alas, sailing in no longer a pure sport.
Hiya Fixento. Dunno if that's the right summation mate. The prize money was actually a donation from a private family who passionately believed in the handicap Corinthian end of the fleet. That's why it was a prize for PHRF, not IRC or ORC or overall. Out of interest, there was no cash prize for any other bracket. I was very humbled by it all to be honest, and the family are local legends of the sport to boot. Cheers!
Exce;;ent sailing, well done on the repairs maintaining speed...cool sounds On'ya Mate!!
Thats a fast yacht and you weren't holding back even with damage you took. Good team effort.

What an amazing race 😊 we had so much fun!!!
I realize I'm kinda off topic but does anyone know of a good site to watch newly released movies online ?
Awesome! Is Fusion the first Pogo in Australia? I would really like the Pogo 30 myself.
