I kind of agree but disagree at the same time because not focusing on your talent is why the British, Australian,Canadian actors book bigger roles then American actors because of perfecting there talent.
Who you know gets you in the door talent is what keeps you there and what brings in revenue for the actor and the studio. Anyone can book a gig or two but eventually luck runs out if you don’t have the talent.

Very true. All of us in this industry have talent. Maybe some are better than others but we all have it to a degree. Let's focus on the career aspect first of acting. Being a working career actor first and that involves work.

I don't know if I agree with that. I used to work at a casting office, and usually about half of the actors that came in to the auditions completely sucked, and a lot of them would only get into the audition because they had great agents or managers. I would say only about 1/3 of the actors that came in were really great and had real, genuine talent.

I have managed to put myself out there by engaging in an 1hr acting monologue workshop weekly with an experienced acting coach/casting director - getting feedback from her has been amazing so far.

I’m waiting for the one agency or manager to take a chance with me. I will make it be successful. I am determined, motivated and open minded! Ooooh when that chance comes….and if you read this comment before it happened….thank you for the support, I will always remember it ❤

I am not sure if you’d see this comment, if you do: can you do a video what it mean to be grounded in the scene?

I'm not sure if I agree that all actors must have talent. When you think about it some of the most famous film and TV actors today can't act at all. Just look at people like Dwayne Johnson, Ashton Kutcher, and John Cena. They are extremely successful and famous actors who are some of the highest paid actors in the business yet they cannot act and have very little talent.

I understand what you're saying, so they are the best example of what he's referring to = marketability. Dwayne Johnson is by far the biggest and most talented businessman out there, and it shows.

Fr especially a lot of the actors on these ya Netflix shows(minus Stranger Things) and even nowadays with social media influencers delving into tv. I guess if u have enough clout, connections, and are attractive enough it doesn’t matter as much

They can act and they’re good at it. If they couldn’t, (weren’t believable, tense, forced, unable to access emotions, etc) you wouldn’t be seeing them in huge movies. They might not have the range of a Gary Oldman, but they do what they do well, and it is “acting”.

Hi Bree, perhaps there are artists and there are entertainers. I think each are highly skilled in their own right.

Acting classes and training can help you become a great actor, but they can never help you become a successful actor.

Cut the crap buddy, you're just here to lure students to your studio24
You are correct to a point that says ,its a bussiness and you've to be aware of whats happening aroud you in the business, but in order to get it done talent is the most crucial factor.you might get lucky in order to book a part because you've wonderful agent, but of no good if you dont know that craft,so first and foremost is youve to be extremely good at what you do and then you can easily learn the bussiness aspect.
And there's nothing as such that e everybody in the field is talented, god endowed with this talent to extremely meagre people in the world so stop brainwashing people,as you yourself know it very well how much talented youve to be ,in order to be in the top line actor and only talented actors are going to have a perpetual career, rest all others are going to fetch a gig or too every now and then,
    Thats just how it is.

I know too many great actors that don't work and in most cases I would attribute that to poor business choices that they have made or haven't made. When casting has tens of thousands of actors to choose from, that are all talented, what separates them?

    • @aparsharma5571
      @aparsharma5571 5 місяців тому

@@Studio24inc Yours absolutely correct about the choices of work that they made, ofcourse it's yet another aspect infact, altogether it's a talent as well to choose the right bussiness, script, apart from just being a talented actor.
Coming to second question, what separates them is,, When casting has tons of actors to choose from remember they fit the part, that's why they are being called to audition or self tape, but now when you fit that part according to the casting. Call what separates them is how much effort and honesty had one.put in and it easily reflects in the character that a person is portraying for a particular role, who holds a command over the craft.,rather than a nincompoop who just fits the part because of which he's got audition call or whatever,he would fiddle with it because he doesn't know ,how to be under the skin of the character.
And for Christ sake if somehow he's been casted, the in the series or movie, the audience would easily tell this individual doesn't know how to act,or he would just be another actor.not the top liner .
So in order to be cassey Affleck you have to have the command over craft, and if you just want to earn a bread and butter then you go do anything whatsoever.doesnt make any difference.
Just see the auditions self tape that the selected candidates, talented ones give ,one could easily tell he/she damn talented they know what they're doing.
