    For anyone having issues with servos not triggering. Try uncommenting the commented out lines (deleted the /*) in the arduino code. That fixed it for me. Idk why he uploaded with those servos not marked to trigger

      @@glp.1337 why? Anycubic has a bunch. If it's too small to print as one piece epoxy it together and sand. Just like sanding out lines... People have made some very impressively large things with small printers.
      For me, I would do it with one of their larger mono series or the m3 max.

    • @glp.1337
      @glp.1337 Рік тому

      @@underourrock Well if you go for Anycubic, you'd have to cut them up because they can't print that big. And if you already have to cut them up and sand/epoxy them together, why would it be beneficial to go for a SLA printer? Wouldn't it be more efficient just to print the big pieces in 1 piece and sand/paint them to get a smooth finish? That way you'd get that "extra bit of pop" as you call it, but just a lot quicker.

      @@TheWolfThatRuns I actually completed making this a while ago. The usb left and right cables need to be bought, I believe there are listed in the parts list.
      As for the JST connector kit, it isn't needed but it is very helpful if you mess something up. If your just solder all the wires together it can be messy if something is not attached quite right. That being said there was still a lot of soldering such as the angled pins that feed into the board that drives the servos etc.

    Should the TX and RX lights on the Arduino Nano Every be blinking when the board is powered. Mine are off and I think this may be a reason it is not working for me.

    Love the project! built it myself, wiring and all. however I'm having trouble with the coding. I have the code downloaded to the Arduino however the servo states seem to be switched for some of the servos. as when its suppose to be close some of the panels are open and when its suppose to be open some of the panels are closed. any recommendations on how to fix the problem??

    Far cry from model airplanes, most to worry about was get the decals off the paper,, but to think there was still room for your head! 😲

    Amazing. Have you ever considered electroplating it to give it a metal finish?

    Ho ly hell. Looks a lot easier in your testing vids. Now with all the wiring and tweaking involved. Hats of to you!!!
    Would you consider uploading a model session in blender? Can be raw. I would like to learn how to model multiple part assemblies with precise measurements involved (servos and so on)

    • @BoxandLoop
      @BoxandLoop  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you. You'd think precision is important here, but with 3D printing the tolerances are quiet large. It's more about trial and error

      @@BoxandLoop thanks for the reply. But how do you create or import the measurements for the mounting points? Are those also trial and error?
